🚰 Advancing Water Management in Ghana 🇬🇭 As part of the ESTABLISHMENT OF A TELEMETRY SYSTEM IN THE GREATER KUMASI METROPOLITAN AREA (GKMA), GHANA, we at SETEC Engineering, in partnership with EAP Consult Limited EAP CONSULT LIMITED recently had the privilege of conducting a specialized training program for the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) team in Kumasi. From July 31st to August 2nd, 2024, we focused on delivering practical training in Telemetry Systems, SCADA, Data Analysis, and Hydraulic Fundamentals. This program, which included fieldwork, was designed to equip GWCL with the skills needed to enhance their water management practices. 💡 Greetings 💡 We are happy to share the successful completion of our GIS training program in UKR Vlore 🖥 The main goal of the training was to train future GIS operators in using QGIS as a platform 📊, as well as to get them familiar with possibilities and applications of the GIS data model 🗺️🗺️that was prepared by IC, so in the future, they will be able to use GIS independently in their everyday activities. 💧 💧 Important is to develop at least one Case Study UKR with all the non-renewing water #NRW 🔄 reduction elements in place and aligned, to serve as an example and experience exchange platform for other UKRs. 🇦🇱 The overall objective of WPIP/MIP V is to contribute to economic📊, social🗣️, environmental🍀, and territorial development🚧, as well as tourism attractiveness⛰️🏖️. 💡💡 We are happy that such a large-scale project is beginning to be implemented in Vlora. This project is led by Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy #MIE & the National Agency of Water Supply and Sewerage #AKUK ⚒️The first stop was together with #UKVlora team in "Lagjia 28 Nentori" 🚧🚧where the first stages of this investment were initiated.🚧 The project will be implemented in a major part of the city and will consist of the replacement of the current drinking water network with a new network🔄🔄, providing a final solution to the problems that come as a result of the amortisations.💧💧 💡The planning and design of all municipal infrastructure systems, facilities and components has been based on international standards such as the European Union (EU) or ISO, under due consideration of Albanian standards and guidelines whenever available. 🙌🏼 💡The German Financial Cooperation through KfW provides funding for capacity building andinvestment projects in urban areas of Albania, covering water sector infrastructure rehabilitation under the “Water Sector Performance and Investment Programme (WPIP)” or“Municipal Infrastructure Program V (MIP-V)” (in continuation of previous Programs MIP-I to MIP-IV).
