It was an enriching opportunity to be part of the panel on "Digital Trade & Economic diplomacy" at The Diplomatic Academy Students’ Initiative Conference (DASICON) in Vienna last month. Panel had distinguished contributors representing Financial sector, International Affairs and Federal Ministry of Austria respectively by Christian Rau , Igor Sekardi and Florian Frauscher. I had the opportunity to share about the progress India has made in area of financial inclusion and digital services to over 1.4 billion citizens using its innovative Digital public infrstructure. I also shared my experiences about Innovation through partnership (Acdemia & Startups) , Global technology scouting and cross sector collborations. At the beginning of the month I had the opportunity to moderate the panel on the "Regulation and Ethics of AI" at The Diplomatic Academy Students’ Initiative Conference (DASICON). Throughout the session we mainly focused on discussions regarding proposed regulatory measures in the evolving realm of Artificial Intelligence, as well as ethical implications. For the past nine months, I have had the honour of being President of DASICON. The Diplomatic Academy Students’ Initiative Conference (DASICON) is a one-day conference organised by students of the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. The conference aims to combine diplomatic, political, and economic topics and create a platform for insightful and exciting panel discussions. This year’s theme was Digital Diplomacy: The Influence of New and Emerging Technologies on International Affairs. We chose this theme because it has incredible relevance. As I said in my opening speech, ‘’We are witnessing the fourth industrial revolution. New technological advancements are a daily occurrence, influencing our lives every day. ChatGPT was one of the technologies that hit closer to home, as plagiarism rules at many other universities had to be rethought. But on a large scale, AI, robotics, and advances in biotechnology and nanotechnology are influencing our lives, revolutionising the way we live, work, and interact with one another. However, we must remember that technology does not solve humanity's problems. Technology brings problems that we need to confront to harness its full potential for the benefit of humanity.’’ Organizing an academic conference as a team leader was new, as was leading a panel with outstanding speakers. I learned a lot about myself and my leadership skills. I am happy to take these experiences into my professional future and look forward to the next challenge.

A new experience for me 🤩 I had a great time moderating a panel discussion on "Tech Diplomacy in Times of Crisis," which explored the pivotal role of technology in shaping international relations and policies in response to global crises. During The Diplomatic Academy Students’ Initiative Conference (DASICON)'s "Digital Diplomacy" conference hosted by the Diplomatische Akademie Wien, I had the chance to spark and moderate a debate with two remarkable speakers, Elke Schraik and Christian Resch, who brought invaluable insights into how technology can not only foster international cooperation — from addressing global environmental emergencies to countering cybersecurity threats — but also create new divides. The conclusion we agreed on was not at all relaxing: "The dynamics of technological advancement sometimes bring a feeling similar to riding a full-speed freight train without the brakes. It can get scary... even in a straight line. Let's hope not to derail it on the curves — that are the global crises we face today." I had the pleasure to spend last week at the Diplomatische Akademie Wien (the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna), where experts gathered for the very relevant subject of Digital Diplomacy: The Influence of New and Emerging Technologies on International Affairs. Last Friday I got the incredible opportunity to moderate the 'Women in Tech Diplomacy' Panel at Diplomatische Akademie Wien with Panelists Gorica Atanasova-Gjorevska, Sara Lerota, Leona Hulshof-Whyte and online Panelists Christina Steinbrecher-Pfandt and MEng. Denitsa Simeonova. It was amazing getting to know how each of them is making a difference and creating the space for women to enter into #Tech and #TechDiplomacy. I am really looking forward to seeing all of the amazing things they do in the future!

Es war eine große Freude bei der diesjährigen The Diplomatic Academy Students’ Initiative Conference (DASICON) das Panel zu "Digital Trade & Economic Diplomacy" an der Diplomatische Akademie Wien moderieren zu dürfen. Main takeaway: Der Wirtschafts- und Forschungsstandort Österreich, besonders im europäischen Kontext, birgt enormes Potenzial, welches zu fördern gilt. Just last Friday, I had the honor of joining a panel discussion as a speaker on the topic of ‘Regulations and Ethics of AI’ at the The Diplomatic Academy Students’ Initiative Conference (DASICON) held at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna. I'd love to express my gratitude to the DASICON team for giving me the opportunity to engage in this important dialogue.
