🌌SpaceSUITE publicity event in Salzburg: a stellar success! 🚀 This week, Paris Lodron Universität Salzburg and #SpaceSUITE held an extraordinary outreach event in Austria, bringing together students, jobseekers, professionals and educators interested in shaping their #futures in the space downstream sector. ✨ What was covered? The event kicked off with inspiring talks from expert speakers, sharing insights into the skills and knowledge essential to thrive in this dynamic sector. 💡 Highlights included: Creating a space profile fit for the future Insights into space-related careers Mastering GNSS and satellite communication After the talks, the event turned into a vibrant Space Careers Fair, creating networking opportunities and showcasing tools such as the #SpaceCareerLaunchpad and #InternshipVouchers for aspiring space professionals. 💫 The event also included a tombola with incredible prizes, including a Cosmic Pizza! 🍕 Thanks to Z_GIS - Department of Geoinformatics, University of Salzburg for their partnership and hospitality and to our colleagues Carlo Stefano Cavicchioli and Paula de Waal, who represented Learningdigital as one of the partners in this spectacular project! #SpaceSUITE continues its mission within the #ErasmusPlus programme, promoting the development of innovative careers and collaboration in the space sector. Mit dieser Frage haben wir uns (schon ein wenig ernsthafter 😀 ) auf der heutigen Regionalkonferenz https://lnkd.in/gnkH2CXc „Gesund & aktiv mobil“  des Bundesministerium für Klimaschutz, Umwelt, Energie, Mobilität, Innovation & Technologie und Fonds Gesundes Österreich in Bischofshofen befasst) Zwei inspirierende und auch unterhaltsame Keynotes von Juliane Stark und Josef Niebauer (https://lnkd.in/gRdzxEFi)  haben noch einmal aufgezeigt, welche Gesundheitsrisiken durch Inaktivität entstehen, und wie einfach es ist, durch wenige Minuten Bewegung am Tag  (z.B. auf dem Arbeitsweg) "Mehrfachdividende Gesundheitsnutzen, Umweltnutzen, Mobilitätsnutzen" zu erzielen. Außerdem durften wir unser vom BMK gefördertes frisch gestartetes Forschungsprojekt „KlimaFIT“ vorstellen. Trafficon - Traffic Consultants GmbH (Projektlead) erforscht mit den Projepartnern Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Digital Health and Prevention, Paracelsus Medizinische Privatuniversität, Z_GIS - Fachbereich für Geoinformatik, Paris-Lodron Universität Salzburg und HELIOS.bz, wie Bewegung durch Hitze- und Mobilitätsmanagement gesundheitliche Risiken für kardiovaskulär gefährdete Gruppen verringern kann.  Dazu bald mehr! Es gab einen tollen Austausch in fünf Word-Cafes. Z_GIS Christmas Plenary 2024: Showcasing GI-science within 🎄✨ Last week, our end of the year plenary meeting brought together all workgroups within the Z_GIS - Department of Geoinformatics, University of Salzburg to share insights and showcase ongoing research projects through nine different stations located across the building.  Being part of Z_GIS, with its roughly 90 employees working at the forefront of GI-science, enables UNIGIS and our students to benefit from a professional and academic network that fosters connections, collaboration, and growth in the geospatial field. #UNIGIS #Z_GIS #GISCommunity #GeospatialStudies #ChristmasPlenary2024
