This morning we have announced our results for the September quarter. Commenting on the quarter, CEO James Palmer, said: “A great quarter delivered by the team at Golden Grove, producing 4.4kt of copper, and 19.1kt of zinc, positioning us well to deliver our full year metal production guidance. In addition, the asset generated $42 million of operating cash flow and $26 million of free cash flow. At Capricorn Copper, excellent progress was made towards our immediate term focus of reducing the water levels on site, with the team progressing the things within our control to position the asset for optimal water reduction outcomes through the coming wet season. Specifically, commencing treatment of the water in the Mill Creek Dam, in preparedness for treated water releases during the wet season, was a major milestone for the quarter.” You can read further details in this morning’s announcement here: https://lnkd.in/g28Q6Kjw #29Metals #copper

Well done to 29Metals' Golden Grove General Manager Operations Brett Milner, Mining Manager Scott Prentice, Underground Manager Robert Gelson, Winder Driver Jon White and Programmed Chef Waffe El jazzar, who all spent their weekend cycling 200 kilometres in support of cancer research in the MACA Cancer 200 event in Western Australia. Racking up an impressive 1,000 kilometres of cycling between them, the team have raised an even more impressive $25,000 for the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research in support of cancer research. "It was a tough ride, but worth it for the cause," said General Manager Operations Brett Milner. "Saturday was an early start against the backdrop of a blue lit Optus Stadium and Matagarup Bridge, a tough stint with a strong south westerly head wind for half of the stage. Sunday the sun was out and the breeze dropped off." The event this year had 1,800 riders in total and raised over $10M. "It was an amazing event full of great people with a huge mining presence, it was great to get 29Metals in the mix and to contribute," said Brett. "All of us know people impacted by cancer and we hope that the funds raised can help drive discoveries to help our friends and family battling this terrible disease now and in the future." It's not too late to donate to the team: https://lnkd.in/g3Rj3e9X #29Metals #copper

Last week we had seven students from Curtin University visit Golden Grove for almost three days, with the aim of providing the cohort with the opportunity for real-life industry involvement. The students, who are studying Mining Engineering, were introduced to all areas of the operation including Health and Safety, Underground, Technical Services and Processing. Thanks to Acting Senior Production Engineer Anthony Ricciardi (pictured second from left) and Alternate Underground Manager Mahesh Kerai (pictured far right) for their involvement in the visit, and a special mention to Technical Services Manager Matthew Birchley who engaged with Curtin University to give the students this important experience. #29Metals #copper

29Metals CEO James Palmer was interviewed by ABC News at the Diggers & Dealers conference in Kalgoorlie yesterday, answering the overarching question: why miners are chasing copper. “Electrification. Therefore, copper demand is there. We know there are supply constraints… Those that don’t have copper, want copper. Those that have copper, want more!” You can watch the full interview (4 mins) here: https://lnkd.in/gMnP9R5E #29Metals #copper
