  • We are excited! There is an Australian tour in March 2025 with Professor Roz Shafran coming to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. This will be an all-day, in-person workshop: "Understanding and treating chronic loneliness: a transdiagnostic cognitive behavioural approach" This event is fully catered, and will include 7 hours for CPD. Full details are on our website. Applications of learning for clinical practice: The skills and knowledge gained in this workshop will enable clinicians to more effectively recognise and address chronic loneliness as a key transdiagnostic process in their clients. By understanding the cognitive, behavioural, and emotional mechanisms that maintain loneliness, participants will be equipped to develop tailored CBT interventions for their diverse client groups. These interventions will enhance clinicians' ability to treat loneliness across a range of mental health disorders with the goal of improving client outcomes, and fostering more meaningful social connections.

Mental Health Coach (MPsych, MSW, ICF ACC) | Leadership, Career & Business Growth | Immigrant Support

Today I had the opportunity to participate in a fantastic workshop on NDIS assessments and reporting, hosted by AACBT(Ltd) and presented by Adela Kiveric. It was my first deep dive into the world of NDIS work. I gained a clearer understanding of the key differences between the roles of behaviour support practitioners and psychologists, as well as the specific forms of reporting required within the NDIS. I also learned about the various NDIS domains and their applications, which has given me a solid foundation to build on in this area. The event was not just about learning—it was also a great chance to network. Through those connections, I discovered the fascinating role of recovery coaches and how they contribute to client support within NDIS. A big thank you to Adela Kiveric and Dr Heidi Saunders for such a valuable and well-organised workshop. I’m already looking forward to attending the next AACBT event. #AACBT #NDIS
