It embodies timeless sophistication, instilling trust while embracing a fresh, striking aesthetic. The all-capital lettering exudes balance and authority, while the bespoke ampersand adds a nuanced touch of modernity. This refined design achieves a powerful and enduring presence, seamlessly blending tradition with contemporary elegance. Marking a quarter-century of curating extraordinary travel experiences, Sanctuary Retreats, part of the A&K Travel Group family, is delighted to announce the complete reimagining and rebuilding of its flagship African property: Gorilla Forest Camp in Uganda, soon to be Gorilla Forest Lodge. The only luxury lodge located inside the gates of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the entire property is undergoing a complete transformation, with a planned reopening in mid-2025. Each of the ten spacious suites offers a tranquil retreat after an exhilarating day of gorilla trekking, with designers drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape. The lodge features a range of initiatives to minimize environmental impact, including the use of repurposed materials, rainwater collection systems, composting, and careful consideration of building materials to ensure minimal waste and a reduced footprint. Have just returned from an incredible 10-day journey through Egypt with Abercrombie & Kent Egypt! Every day brought new wonders, from standing in awe before the majestic pyramids of Giza to delving into the rich history within temples, tombs, and museums brimming with ancient artifacts. One of the highlights was our exclusive access to the brand new Grand Egyptian Museum (not yet open to the public) where we marveled at the grand staircase and at the Sakkara pyramids where we had the privilege of exploring tombs inaccessible to most tourists. The expertise of the A&K staff, many of whom have been with the company for over a decade, truly shone through, enriching our experience at every turn. Cruising along the Nile aboard the Sanctuary Retreats Sunboat IV was a bucket list experience. The attention to detail exhibited by the entire staff were simply extraordinary, delivering unparalleled luxury in ways we couldn't have imagined. Traveling during this period allowed us to savor the essence of Egypt without the usual crowds, providing ample time to immerse ourselves fully in the destination.
