Australian College of Audiology incorporating HAASA

Adelaide #audiologist and #audiometrist Ms Kylie Dicieri is the new chair of the Australian College of Audiology incorporating HAASA (ACAud inc. HAASA). She takes over from former chair Ms marguerite rushworth who returns to the executive team as treasurer. Dicieri will also be supported by Mr Stephen Dimitri in the vice-chair role, Mr Vijay Marimuthu, PhD as secretary and board directors Ms Jan Pollard, Ms Helen King, Ms Janette Brazel, Mr Andrew Sharrock and Mr Mark Paton. Several of the board’s executive stepped down from their roles including treasurer, Mr Cameron Dicieri and secretary Mark Paton. Miguel A. Diaz Jacqui Peters

ACAud inc. HAASA CEO, Miguel Diaz and Board Member, Mark Paton, attended the recent Hearing Health Sector Alliance meeting in Canberra held over 2 days. Amongst the many topics of discussion were the Audiology Decision Regulatory Impact Statement, as well as the identification of key priorities to advocate for improved access to hearing health services for vulnerable and disadvantaged members of the community. The Alliance also met with members of the Department of Health’s Hearing Services Program (HSP) to discuss proposed changes to the program.
