The Annual Report 2023-2024 is live! This Report covers the period 1 July 2023 – 30 June 2024 and sets out the key achievements and work areas of our association. View the Report: https://lnkd.in/gZkewJky In addition to showcasing the significant achievements of Accord over the reporting period, this Annual Report focuses on the essential nature of the entire breadth of hygiene, personal care and specialty products. In her letter this year, Accord’s Chair Tracey Raso highlights that front and centre for our industry is the positive impacts we have on people’s lives. While acknowledging that over-regulation of low-risk products and certain unique Australian requirements that are not fit-for-purpose remain both a challenge and an opportunity for our sectors, the Report highlights that amid a stagnating economy, it’s time for a broader industry policy push aimed at barriers to innovation and business investment.

We are proud to celebrate our long-standing partnership with Revlon Australia, which spans over 30 years. Throughout this time, REVLON Australia has been a key supporter in helping cancer patients face their diagnosis with confidence. Their contributions include stock donations for Confidence Kits, support for our annual fundraising event Dream Ball, involvement in our Christmas Cracker initiatives, volunteer days, and more. Thanks to REVLON Australia's generous commitment, over 3,500 participants have benefitted from the Look Good Feel Better program. In 2022, REVLON Australia launched the International Lipstick Campaign, in collaboration with the Delta Goodrem Foundation and Chemist Warehouse, the exclusive retail partner and biggest supporter of the campaign. In just four weeks, they sold over 40,000 Super Lustrous Lipsticks. In wrapping up the 2024 campaign, REVLON Australia presented us with a cheque, providing the perfect opportunity for us to recognise them as a GOLD #LGFBAustralia partner. We’re honoured to acknowledge this significant partnership and look forward to continuing support of cancer patients together in 2025 and beyond. On behalf of the board of the Cancer Patients Foundation (CPF), I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Carol Kavurma, General Manager of Look Good Feel Better Australia, on her 10-year milestone dynamically leading the national charity. In characterising Carol's profound impact during her tenure in a presentation to the CPF Board recently, Accord Australasia Executive Director and Secretary of the CPF, Bronwyn Capanna , spoke of Carol’s professionalism, productivity, and proactive planning which enabled the organisation to pivot seamlessly to online workshops during the pandemic, as well as her positive focus on a culture of stability, teamwork, commitment, communication, and compliments. Carol’s relentless desire to help cancer patients and her passion to deliver on the Look Good Feel Better vision, shines more brightly than ever. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated General Manager, who continues to help more and more people. Please join me in celebrating not just this 10-year anniversary but also Carol’s many achievements. Happy Global Handwashing Day! In honour of the day, the Food Safety Information Council has released its latest report card on Australia’s handwashing habits, sponsored by Accord. While we all know how important handwashing is, the stats show we still have a way to go. 19% of Australians admit they don’t always wash their hands after using the toilet, and 42% don’t always wash before touching food.
