  • Job Opportunity Nursing Director – Child and Youth Family Health Service Townsville Hospital and Health Service are currently seeking a passionate, dynamic, and driven Nursing Director to join our dedicated community Child Youth Family Health team. The Nursing Director will be responsible for driving community-based services and models of care across the continuum of care for children and families. The role is accountable for nursing leadership, innovation, and excellence in the continuum of care for children and families across the Townsville and Hospital and Health Service. The Nursing Director will take the lead role in implementing the Queensland Government Putting Queensland Kids First Strategy and initiatives within THHS. This role will be sitting on a statewide leadership group, connecting in with other ADON roles to progress the child health agenda - including models of care, growth of workforce and training needs. The role will also collaborate with government and non-government agencies at a local and state level to integrate child health services. The position works in collaboration with the Director of Midwifery, Nursing Director for Newborn, Children and Adolescent and Medical Director to provide person-centred care. What’s on offer? Permanent Full-time position. Remuneration package of up to $186,962 p.a., comprising base salary range of $155,831 - $163,382 p.a. (+ applicable allowances/benefits) (Nurse Grade 10), recreational leave loading (17.5%), and employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%). Eligible health workers who move to Queensland from interstate or international jurisdictions to take up permanent employment may receive up to $20,000 in incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Incentive Scheme.
