The Adoni Media team at The Salvation Army Australia's Toy Warehouse this morning helping pack Christmas hampers for families in need 🎁❤️ From giant unicorns and monster trucks for the little ones, to makeup and books for the teens, all donations are welcome with open arms! It's our sixth year as the Salvation Army Queensland's PR partner and our second year helping at the warehouse. Everybody knows of the work that the Salvos do, but it isn't until you are on the ground with them, that you truly realise the magnitude. There are many ways to donate both online and in-store. The Salvos had our Managing Director Leisa Goddard on the ground to help with the TV interviews that saw them and the annual Community Christmas lunch make the news on Saturday night. It's the 14th annual lunch at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre which is only possible because of the generosity of staff, suppliers, and volunteers. This year there were more than 480 people in the room. Latest research from The Salvation Army Australia shows more than half of Queenslanders reaching out for support are doing so for the first time. It means all charities need more help then ever before. The decades spent in TV means my 'little black book' - and that of my Adoni Media Public Relations team - is a pretty enviable asset when it comes to camera crews. Today I was working with former Ten News colleague Ryan Smith for a group workshop in Melbourne. In the past month or so we've been across the country working with camera crews we know in: Hobart Devonport Darwin Brisbane Sydney and today - Melbourne. A professional TV camera crew working alongside our trainers is the only way to build media and presenting confidence.
