🎉 Incredible News 🎉 We're thrilled to share that our founder, Alex Dekker, has been named Young Melburnian of the Year at this year’s Melbourne Awards! 🌟👏 Alex’s journey, from preparing meals in his own kitchen to now leading Alex Makes Meals in providing over 3,000 meals each week across Melbourne, shows what’s possible with determination and a deep commitment to our community. A huge shoutout to Rebecca Scott, OAM, who has been honored as 2024’s Melburnian of the Year! Thank you to the City of Melbourne selection committee, Mayor Nick Reece, and everyone involved in recognizing these community contributions. This award is a shared achievement—for Alex, our volunteers, and all our supporters—and a reminder of what we can accomplish together in the fight against food insecurity.
