Gibson was featured on Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) Alice Springs yesterday to discuss his research showcased at the 'Nothing Too Beautiful for the Gods' exhibition by Fondation Opale in Switzerland. This groundbreaking exhibition explores the rich and diverse artistic expressions of human spirituality. Dr Gibson shared his experience of travelling with four Anmatyerr men from the remote #Aboriginal community of Laramba to document their making of three ceremonial ground paintings. He described the event as a historic cultural exchange amidst the Swiss Alps. 🎧 Listen to the full interview (Dr Gibson featured from 00:30:50 - 00:38:38): https://lnkd.in/gh68jrcw 📖 Learn more about Dr Gibson's research: https://lnkd.in/gkacjHgx

Josh Roose, Associate Professor of #Politics at Deakin's Alfred Deakin Institute for Citizenship and Globalisation, has commented in an article about the recent terror attack in New Orleans and said more needed to be done to reach young men, and the economy was a major issue. “Men aren’t having discussions at universities and developing liberal frameworks (like women tend to), they're getting online, getting immersed in ‘bro’ culture, Joe Rogan, UFC and the Dana White effect, that prioritises physical aggression,” he said. Associate Professor Josh R. said these themes would be “indicative of the many forms of new #extremism we are going to see going forward”.
