Last week, some of our team visited Advanced Flight Theory (AFT) to talk with future pilots. Captain Hamish Fraser (General Manager of Flight Operations), Captain Peter Schryver (Alliance Check Captain E190 Fleet) and Verna Colina (Recruitment Advisor) spent time in the classroom chatting about Alliance Airlines' values, fleet and dedication to delivering the highest safety, reliability and operational performance standards. For Captain Peter Schryver, the visit was a return to his roots ⎯ he graduated from AFT in 1997, proving that great careers can begin at AFT. We hope to see some of these enthusiastic students onboard Alliance Airlines flights in the coming years.

The future of aviation in Rockhampton is looking good. Last week, our Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance facility hosted budding engineers for our hangar-to-classroom information night with Aviation Australia. The students got firsthand experience of hangar life while learning about the Certificate II in Aircraft Line Maintenance and chatting with recent graduates. Providing these opportunities to young aviation enthusiasts is critical to our commitment to aviation maintenance in this country. We want to encourage as many people as possible to pursue their dreams and aim for a career in aviation. We hope to welcome some of these fresh faces to our business in the coming years.

We're proud to have donated a charter flight and crew to support Variety - the Children's Charity of South Australia's fundraising efforts. Our Rockhampton Aviation Maintenance hangar is now one year old! 🥳 The Rockhampton-based team celebrated the first birthday of our three-bay facility yesterday. And with such a bright future ahead, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate. This state-of-the-art facility is an investment in the future of aviation maintenance in Australia. Importantly, it also provides local, onshore jobs in regional Australia. We're incredibly proud to support Foodbank Queensland and play a small role in helping to feed thousands of vulnerable Queensland families. In 2023, we donated a truck to Foodbank, expanding its fleet to five trucks. Foodbank trucks are vital to its operation. They help rescue food and fast-track its distribution to more than 300 frontline charities and 300 school breakfast programs across Queensland. By adding the Alliance Airlines truck, Foodbank has increased its capacity by a whopping 20%, helping get food to where it's needed most. The demand from frontline charities is so high that the Alliance Airlines refrigerated truck has been on the road for up to seven hours each day, travelling about 800 kilometres weekly while carrying 28 pallets of donated food per trip. Over the past financial year, the Alliance Airlines truck moved the equivalent of more than 450 Fokker 100 cargo filled with food! Many Alliance Airlines team members also volunteered their time, helping pack over 900 Food For Kids hampers.
