Introducing our newest members: Sam Fisher: Senior Occupational Therapist and Clinical Lead for Assistive Technology. With over 10 years of experience in the field, Sam has honed her expertise in working with clients requiring complex assistive technology solutions. Her career spans various settings, including aged care and community services, where she has successfully implemented customized assistive technology to enhance the independence and quality of life for her clients. Sam's deep knowledge and innovative approach make her a valuable asset to our team, and she will further support our team in delivering cutting-edge solutions for our clients. Tammy Ockerse: Senior Occupational Therapist specializing in Mental Health and Child and Youth services. Tammy brings a wealth of experience as a trained Mental Health Occupational Therapist, having worked extensively in both clinical and community settings. She is particularly passionate about psychosocial disability and mental health, with a strong focus on supporting individuals across the health continuum—from children and adolescents to older adults. Tammy’s background includes working in multidisciplinary teams, delivering evidence-based interventions, and providing support that empowers individuals to lead fulfilling lives. Her addition will further support our team’s mission to deliver comprehensive, compassionate care to all age groups. Jo Batchelor: Occupational Therapist and Certified Complex Home Modifications specialist. Jo has extensive experience in designing and overseeing complex home modifications, with a particular emphasis on accessibility and assistive technology. Her work has transformed the living environments of countless individuals, enabling them to live more independently and safely in their homes. Jo’s expertise extends to collaborating with architects, builders, and families to ensure that modifications meet the unique needs of each client. Her passion for improving lives through thoughtful, practical home solutions is evident in every project she undertakes. Jo will further support our team by bringing innovative and personalized modification solutions that greatly enhance our clients’ quality of life. We are incredibly excited to welcome Sam, Tammy, and Jo to the Allied Care & Co family. Their experience, dedication, and passion for their respective fields will undoubtedly enhance the services we provide, further support our team, and positively impact the lives of our clients. This collaboration will see the introduction of dietician services along with diabetes education through a credentialed diabetes educator. Allied Care & Co has been buzzing with activity over the past six months, and we're thrilled to share some of our exciting milestones. Here's a glimpse of what we've accomplished: 💗 We've undergone significant growth, expanding our team of clinicians to better cater to the needs of our community-based clients on the Gold Coast and in Brisbane. 🏄♂️ As we are locally based, we have moved into our new office on the Gold Coast which is now operational, offering enhanced support for both our clinicians and clients alike. 🤗 We've witnessed a steady rise in our client base across the Gold Coast and Brisbane, with continued growth on the horizon. 🤝 The introduction of Forensic Occupational Therapy into our services marks a significant achievement, as we now provide support to three prisons across QLD and NSW, assisting in the smooth reintegration of NDIS clients into the community upon their release. 🤝 Cultivating strong relationships with families, support coordinators, and LACs has played a pivotal role in our success. 💙 We're excited to announce our expansion into Northern Rivers NSW, led by our newest Paediatric Specialist Occupational Therapist, specialising in aiding children with Autism Spectrum Disorder Level 3 and various other childhood development disorders. ✈ Our Regional Health Outreach Program is set to expand into Rockhampton, Gladstone, and Emerald in the upcoming months. 👩🎓 The addition of Clinical Lead Occupational Therapy, Vida Alizad, PhD, PhD, further enriches our team's clinical development and skillset. 📚 Structured clinical education and support for our clinicians 💜 Welcoming our very first Allied Health Assistant, Piper Munro, underscores our commitment to supporting our clinicians and nurturing their professional growth. Piper is currently pursuing studies as a Speech Pathologist and will be a vital asset to our team. Through our strong relationships previously forged with recruitment professionals and extensive networking with their contacts, we are actively strengthening our workforce to meet the increasing demand for our unique care model. Hi Linkedin Community We are so excited to announce that due to our overwhelming response to our Regional Outreach Program in Bundaberg supporting the local community, we at Allied Care & Co have decided to expand our support to other regional communities. We're looking for areas that are in desperate need of Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. Currently, we fly into Bundaberg once a month for two days, bringing along our exceptional team of professionals to conduct assessments and offer support. We ensure a quick turnaround for our reports and offer a comprehensive service to support clients living in these regional communities. 🛫 We have forged a strong relationship with our equipment providers who are also able to provide the same level of support and quick turnaround of equipment. Now, we want to extend these valuable services to your community. If your regional community is experiencing high waitlist times to see an Occupational Therapist or a Physiotherapist, please let us know. We're eager to collaborate and bring our unique multidisciplinary model of care and allied health services to those who need them most.
