At Amarapave, we believe that every step toward #sustainability matters—no matter how small. Last month, we worked with Merri-bek City Council to trial a small patch of #asphalt made with crumbed rubber from old wheelie bin tyres. The results were anything but small: 200kg of rubber saved from landfill and 660kg of methane emissions prevented. It’s about reimagining what’s possible when we approach business with courage and a commitment to create opportunities for others. Starting Amarapave as a social enterprise was a decision rooted in our belief that everyone deserves access to meaningful work. We’ve seen how the construction industry can feel like a closed door—especially for women and non-binary individuals. It’s hard to walk through a door that seems bolted shut. Last week Ash MacMahon & I were lucky enough to participate in the Vögele Training at their German HQ. The training course delivered practical learnings into screeds, pavers and rollers with a sneak peak into the latest paver models! The whole experience was unforgettable. We're excited to share and apply what we've learned on our Amarapave projects. A big thank you to WIRTGEN GROUP and everyone involved in making this training possible - We loved it!
