The lunchtime booths at the Melbourne Supply Chain Conference were a huge success!! Thanks to all of our partners for taking the time to chat to our students and Melbourne Supply Chain conference participants. 🎮 Everybody loved the Körber virtual reality experience - thanks Nikki Jones and team. You also get the prize for handing out the biggest water bottles I have ever seen! 🛳️ I started my career working mainly in the ocean freight industry at BHP Transport. So it was great to see participants learning more about careers in the ocean/shipping and 3PL industry - thanks My Therese Blank and the team from A.P. Moller - Maersk. (yes I know, the emoji l have used looks like a cruise ship, but I couldn't find a cargo vessel) ... 🚛 It was soooo nice to welcome back Simran Kawatra, an alumni of our programs (Vikram Bhakoo). Now on the DHL graduate program, it was great to see Simran chatting to students on careers in logistics. She did a great job Jake Manickam. 💡 A pleasure to see former colleague, Frans Verheij from Argon & Co and his team (including Brittany Frankland) chatting to our students about careers in consulting. It is nice for students to hear about the benefits of working in a specialty supply chain consulting firm 👕 Best t-shirt award goes to the Amplify Procurement team, with their "Choose Procurement" shirt!! Thanks very much to my former PhD class mate Tayla Wilmot, PhD and my former student (Emily Coutts) for coming along. I am so glad you both came along and had the chance to chat to students and broader delegates about Amplify Procurement 🛤️ I have been part of the National Marketing Committee at the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia for a year or so, and we have a big drive to attract more students. Thanks Faraz B for coming along and representing the SCLAA - chatting to students and other conference guests about the amazing opportunities open to them on joining the Supply Chain & Logistics Association of Australia (SCLAA). 🚚 A huge shout out to the team at Bestrane & Mobiledock, including Meaghan Siemensma and David Sanders. I met Meaghan when I was on my BHP Transport graduate program and Meaghan was facilitating logistics and supply chain industry networking then! She is always available to support events that help the next generation of supply chain students. (thanks also to David Sanders who again always delivers!! jumping in at short notice and filling in for one speaker that could not attend later in the day). 🧴 Finally, a huge shout out to the team at L'Oréal, and to Georgia Giles for chatting to students over the lunch break. Thanks for all your support over the two days at our conference. I know several students of mine are now at L'Oreal and I could not think of a better place to kick off their career! (Thanks also for the CeraVe & other goodies). Thanks everyone for taking the time to help us inspire the next generation of supply chain leaders. #uomscm #unimelb

  • The Amplify team recently participated in the 2024 Moriarty Cup Charity Football Tournament, run by the Moriarty Foundation.   This event provided a fantastic opportunity to raise money for John Moriarty Football, an initiative dedicated to breaking the cycle of disadvantage among vulnerable Indigenous children and youth through football.   16 teams came together to support 2,200 young Indigenous players that are trained each week. John Moriarty Football (JMF) is Australia’s longest running and most successful Indigenous football initiative for 2-18 year old's. JMF’s transformational skills program uses football for talent and positive change - "with a track record of improving school attendance and achieving resilient, healthier outcomes for some of Australia’s most remote communities."*   It was an incredible day, and our Amplify participants not only had the chance to stay active with their teammates but also to share their love for sport while giving back to the community. *https://lnkd.in/g-Z-EZ4Z

  • Happy Ampliversary VI Our amazing team from across the country gathered in Sydney to celebrate 6 years of Amplify Procurement. We celebrated with our annual Ampliversary challenge, and this year, it was all about creating a Corporate Video – Amplify style, of course! Inspired by the legendary Amplify video Trilogy, our teams had just 4 hours to create a brand-new corporate video, complete with props, amateur dramatics, and plenty of tongue-in-cheek moments. Unfortunately, none of these masterpieces are suitable for LinkedIn! 😱 A huge thank you to all our Clients, Amplifriends, and Amplifans for your support over the last 6 years – we wouldn’t be here without you! And a massive shoutout to our incredible team for making Amplify officially the best place to work! 🏆

  • 👩🏫  ARDOCH 👨🏫   Over the past few months, members of both our Sydney and Melbourne teams have had the privilege to volunteer with Ardoch's Mock Interview program. This rewarding initiative supports students from low-socioeconomic backgrounds, offering them a chance to practice interview skills, discuss future plans, and receive career advice. It's truly humbling to engage with these young people, who despite facing significant challenges, approach their futures with optimism and enthusiasm. It's an honour for us at Amplify to play a small part in helping them navigate their paths forward.   Enjoy the pics of the team!
