About us

The Anderson name is synonymous with progressive agriculture in Australia. The late Don Anderson almost single handedly lifted the embargo on livestock imports from the USA in the early 1980’s and pioneered on-farm bovine embryo transfer in Australia. J.H (Bert) Anderson MBE served as president of the Queensland Grain Growers Association for 21 consecutive years. Richard Anderson assumed management of the famous ‘Inverary’ beef cattle stud and Anderson Pastoral Company farming operation at the age of 19, following the untimely death of father. At 21 years of age Richard became the youngest exhibitor to take out the prestigious Horden Interbreed Trophy at the Sydney Royal Easter Show and at 24 he became the youngest ever person to judge Beef Cattle at the Sydney Royal Easter Show and is a highly regarded and sought after judge.
