Athletics Victoria seeks Expressions of Interest for three new Working Groups. In line with the objectives of AV’s 2023-26 Strategic Plan, the Working Groups are each designed to support the development and execution of a relevant strategy. Specifically, Athletics Victoria seeks suitable candidates for the following Working Groups: 1. Officials Recruitment & Retention Working Group – no fewer than three (3) volunteers/appointments sought. 2. Recreational Running Working Group – no fewer than two (2) volunteers/appointments sought. 3.Schools & Pathways Working Group – no fewer than two (2) volunteers/appointments sought. The Athletics Victoria Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) Strategy Working Group has been established to aid and inform the development of the AV Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy, and upon completion of the Strategy, support the AV Metro Development Leader in its execution. Athletics Victoria’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the 2023-24 year was held on Wednesday 24 July. The AGM recognised a successful year for Athletics Victoria, highlighted by a strong financial result and improved membership and participation figures, and saw the election of a new member to the AV Committee. Athletics Victoria has partnered with Victorian Health Promotion Foundation (VicHealth) to amplify the UNCLOUD campaign across our upcoming events and programs this All Schools season. Starting with the Victorian All Schools Cross Country Championships this Saturday in Bundoora, attendees will witness the initial stages of our anti-vaping campaign. This initiative will feature various activations on social media, website, at major events, and throughout venues as part of our community engagement efforts.

Athletics Victoria is seeking Expressions of Interest from suitable apparel/teamwear providers to hold the license to provide state teamwear for Athletics Victoria from July 2024 onwards. This is a unique opportunity for an apparel/teamwear provider to forge a mutually beneficial partnership with Athletics Victoria, as the sport and organisation continue to grow. The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) has announced the first 14 track and field athletes to the Australian Olympic Team in Paris at the conclusion of the Australian Athletics Championships. Join us in congratulating the 9 Victorians selected – Peter Bol, Abbey Caldwell, Rhydian Cowley, Rebecca Henderson, Claudia Hollingsworth, Chris Mitrevski, Jemima Montag, Lauren Ryan and Kyle Swan, who will be Paris-bound this August. We're on the lookout for a Metro Development Leader to join the AV team! As a key member of the Sport Development team, this role will make a substantial contribution to the relevant AV business strategies and plans. Relationship development with many of AV’s key stakeholders will also be of key importance. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with athletics clubs and participants at the grass roots level and provide vital support to grow participation and membership across the state.
