🍾Mark Nicholls is celebrating 15 years with ATOM🍾 Fifteen years ago, Mark moved from South Africa to Geraldton, attracted by the sunny weather and stunning beaches that reminded him of home. It didn’t take long for him to realise this coastal town was the perfect place to settle down. As an Internal Sales Representative, Mark thrives on the daily hustle of counter sales, enjoying the chance to connect with clients face-to-face and keep active around the warehouse. His role allows him to stay busy and engaged with the community he’s come to love. Outside of work, Mark is always on the go. Weekends are for gardening, cycling, and spending time with loved ones: his wife Cheryl, son Jason, daughter Ashleigh, son-in-law Jordan, and grandson Atlas. A funny story from Mark: "Years ago on my birthday, I had just loaded items for a client outside, and as I entered through the door the team on duty had hidden, so when I stepped through I was met with an air horn and spray of confetti! Taken by surprise I pulled a Mr. Bean move and pretended to step down a hidden staircase." Thank you Mark for your incredible dedication and hard work - Congratulations on 15 years!

Mario Szidat and Sonia L. rolled up their sleeves and got stuck in at another Greening Australia planting day at Archerfield Wetlands. 🌱 Sporting the WIRRA Helio gloves, they quickly got into the rhythm of rehabilitating the land one plant at a time. With over 50 volunteers the team were able to plant 4,000 native trees, shrubs, grasses and ground covers on the day! These planting days are vital for creating habitats for wildlife, improving biodiversity and tackling climate change. We're proud to support Greening Australia's environmental sustainability efforts, helping to restore and protect Australia’s natural environment for future generations.

Some of our team at ATOM Kewdale celebrated Diwali with a vibrant morning tea today! It was fantastic to see everyone embrace the festivities, trying on bindis (a decorative dot worn on the forehead) and dupattas (colourful scarves) and learning about the story behind this special festival of lights. And who could resist the delicious spread of traditional Indian sweets and savories? For those of us far from family, it was a heart-warming way to feel connected to our traditions and celebrate together. From our ATOM family to yours, we wish you a Diwali filled with light, joy, and prosperity! #Diwali #Diversity #Inclusion #FestiveFun

Congratulations to David Peek for reaching 10 years of service with ATOM! To celebrate this milestone, our Darwin Branch held a BBQ breakfast cooking up some delicious bacon and eggs for everyone to enjoy. The Darwin team presented David with a card full of heartfelt messages, some Yeti coolers and a Longneck VB. To thank him for his dedication to ATOM, he was also awarded a certificate and a $1,000 voucher! Loving the warmth, David has dedicated all 10 years of his career as an Internal Sales Representative in Darwin. Being a passionate sports fan, he will never miss an opportunity to support Carlton during the AFL season. With Christmas around the corner, David is most excited about heading home to see his family in Adelaide. A memorable story from a friend: "I remember a Christmas party in 2021 where everyone was having a great time at a local pub in Darwin. It was well after 11pm and there was some serious techno music playing to which David turned to me and said “OH I LOVE THIS MUSIC!” it was the best!" Thank you David for doing the little things for our teams, so the little things get done for our customers!

Wear It Pink Day🎀 Last Friday in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ATOM swapped out our signature orange for pink! A huge shout-out to Bisley Workwear for helping us shine bright with their pink high-vis vests! To spark conversations about early detection, all of our teams enjoyed delicious Breast Cancer sugar cookies for morning tea. The support was unreal, with every branch sporting their pink vests in the office, warehouse, and even on client sites! Breast cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia, with 21,000 new cases each year - that's 58 diagnoses every day! Both males and females are at risk, but women face a 1 in 7 chance of being diagnosed in their lifetime. That’s why it's crucial to be informed about the signs of breast cancer. For more information on symptoms, detection, and treatment, visit https://hubs.la/Q02VYbdg0 Thank you again to Bisley Workwear for partnering with us in support of this important cause. If you’d like to learn more about breast cancer, check out the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

The Final Step - The Journey and Destination Exhausted, blistered, and relieved, all nine of our Challengers triumphantly completed the 2024 Chairman's Challenge! After traversing 109 km of rugged hills, dense bush, and battling persistent bugs, they successfully journeyed from Donnelly River to Pemberton. Throughout the expedition, they pushed their limits and uncovered immense determination and resilience, making for an unforgettable week in the bushland of Western Australia. Each campsite offered something unique — whether it was the soothing sounds of a waterfall or the vibrant colours of Australia’s native flora, there was always a new view to admire every day. After five rigorous days and four nights, our Challengers celebrated their achievement with a well-deserved lasagne and drinks of their choice. This incredible journey forged bonds that turned nine individual challengers, into one big family, who conquered the Bibbulmun Track together. Check out a snippet of what our Challengers experienced along the way!

Congratulations to Ashley Larner for reaching 10 years of service with ATOM! Originally from Sydney, Ashley made the big move to ATOM Kalgoorlie starting as an Inside Sales Representative. After 4 years in ISR, he was promoted to Account Manager for another 4 years, before becoming a Major Account Manager in 2022. Working in rain, hail or shine, Ashley enjoys that there's always something new instore for him. While Ashley may have missed the gold rush in Kalgoorlie, he found his love for camping in his rooftop camper. Decked out with a cooktop, fridge and Starlink, Ashley explores the Goldfields on and off-road finding all the best camping spots. Although, don't expect him to give them up so easily. Thank you for all your continued hard work and taking care of the 'little things' Ashley!

At ATOM we believe that no job is too big, but sometimes we do need that helping hand to get the little things done for our customers every now and then. 🤝 Thanks to the amazing team at Workpower in Bentley, we were able to complete a special customer order that required creating custom tags to go inside some ATOMic vending machines - just look how organised it is! Who are Workpower you ask? Through their commercial services program, we were able to work together to produce these custom tags and keep our customer satisfied!
