Today, we had the privilege of hosting an insightful training session on Underinsurance, delivered by the experts at YDR Chartered Loss Adjusters The session shed light on the critical gaps that can arise when insurance coverage falls short of actual replacement or market values—a scenario many businesses and individuals may face unknowingly. Key takeaways included: 🔹 The importance of accurate valuations for properties and assets. 🔹 The potential financial and operational impact of being underinsured. 🔹 Practical strategies to ensure adequate coverage and mitigate risks. A big thank you to the YDR team for breaking down this complex topic with clarity and expertise. This session has highlighted the need for regular policy reviews and professional assessments to protect ourselves and our businesses effectively. Have you reviewed your insurance coverage recently? It might be time to double-check!

Last week Jake Pantas & Danielle Calogero from Johns Lyng Group delivered an insightful Asbestos Awareness training session on behalf of Aztech Services. Meet Dani Hunter, our Insurance Advisor & Project Coordinator with 16 years of experience. Dani is passionate about driving continuous improvement and developing growth opportunities within the company. What is your role & responsibility at AB Countrywide? My experience across claims, broking, systems, and administration allows me to effectively manage various projects across different areas of the business. I also enjoy working closely with our specialist Motor Dealer team, to create a market leading service offering to our clients. What do you like the most about working at AB Countrywide? We’re not too big & not too small. Big enough to provide structure & stability and invest meaningfully in IT and company culture. Small enough to be heard and influence change. How did you get into insurance? After exploring options to get out of retail, a friendly introduction to CGU’s claims team provided me with my first opportunity within the industry. What is the technology product and app that is the most use to you? My phone and much to my husband’s distress the app I’m on the most would have to be Facebook Marketplace. Followed closely by BOM and my obsession with checking the weather. If you could learn a new skill, what would it be? Feeling comfortable & confident public speaking. What is your favourite holiday destination and why? New York! So much to see and do, it felt like I was in a movie the whole time. What is your favourite quote? If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
