Despite wild weather throwing them a curveball, the team adapted, explored Mt Tamborine, and raised $1,175 to support rainforest conservation in the Daintree Forest. 🌱 The funds will help purchase and restore a 9-hectare rainforest block, which will be returned to the Kuku Yalangi people for protection as part of their Country. ✨ What a week in Perth! ✨ We wrapped up 2024 in WA with two incredible events that brought the Lifestyle Medicine and GP communities together in meaningful and inspiring ways. ✨ ASLM WA Community End of Year Networking Dinner at Sauma On Wednesday 20 November, the ASLM WA community came together for a vibrant evening of connection and collaboration. Attendees shared ideas, networked, and enjoyed a delicious banquet dinner while discussing how to further integrate Lifestyle Medicine into healthcare. Thank you to our CEO Roni Beauchamp, Executive Director – Education and Impact Sarah McDonald, and Board Members Dr Jenny Brockis and Amelia Twiss for leading the evening and sharing their vision for Lifestyle Medicine in WA. ✨ GP24: Reimagining Health Care From Thursday 21 to Saturday 23 November, the GP24 Conference at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre was a hub of innovation, learning, and connection. A highlight was meeting keynote speaker Dr Jenny Brockis, whose inspiring talk had the conference buzzing with interest in implementing Lifestyle Medicine in practice.
