Chris Cuffe AO, our Chairman & Founder, talks with Sean Aylmer on his career, building Third Link Growth Fund and how he started Australian Philanthropic Services as a charity to help philanthropists set up better structures to give away more over time. "My goal is that these ancillary funds become as popular for wealth advisors as talking about self-managed super funds or superannuation generally ... that it becomes very common vernacular to talk about philanthropy as part of a person's financial planning needs". Chris Cuffe AO speaks to Sean Aylmer about how Third Link Growth Fund has donated almost $22m in fees to charity, and why he was inspired to set up Australian Philanthropic Services. Full interview here 🎧 https://lnkd.in/g6mJ4cdU

Join us in November for our First Nations Crowdfunding Event! Streaming LIVE across Australia, from our event hosted by AMP Foundation in Sydney, we will support three high-potential First Nations enterprises driving social impact in regional communities: 🥗 Indigenous Futures Foundation - Aiming to end the food crisis in First Nations communities by addressing the deep-rooted issues caused by colonisation, poverty, and food insecurity. 🌊 #SaltyMonkeys - A First Nations-led brand combining culture, adventure, and ocean conservation. 🎈 xhalEvents - Delivering community events that foster strong cultural connections. Our Head of APSF, Rachael Rofe at the Sohn Hearts & Minds Conference today to catch up and hear from the best investment, scientific and philanthropic minds on maximising medical research funding in Australia. #LongTermInvesting #Philanthropy #StructuredGiving
Excellent conversation between Nick Moakes of the Wellcome Trust and Mark Nelson of Caledonia at the Sohn Hearts & Minds Conference. Nick’s insights on taking a genuine, long-term approach to investing resonate. At Australian Philanthropic Services Foundation, we share a similar philosophy—prioritising sustainability, resilience, and enduring impact over short-term gains. It’s always inspiring to see charitable capital powerhouses like Wellcome Trust demonstrating the power of patient capital and thoughtful stewardship. This alignment of values reminds us of the incredible opportunities that come with taking the long view, particularly in philanthropy and investment. Thank you, Nick and Mark, for sharing your perspectives! #LongTermInvesting #Philanthropy #SohnHeartsAndMinds #APSFoundation

Congratulations Australian Schools Plus on an incredible 10 years creating sustainable change for over 550,000 students. Schools Plus was founded following a recommendation in the first Gonski review, which identified a need for philanthropic funding in schools, to help close the education gap caused by disadvantage. #philanthropy #DavidGonskiAC Michael Traill
What a wonderful way to end the week. Check out our highlight reel from our wonderful 10-year celebration!

APS is thrilled to announce that Graeme McKenzie has joined our Board of Directors. Graeme succeeds David Gonski AC, who is retiring from the board but will continue as an APS Patron and one of only 4 Members. Graeme’s enthusiasm for philanthropy and his extensive 41 years of experience with Ernst & Young Global Consulting Services (the last 28 years of which has been as a partner) specialising in financial services across wealth and asset management, superannuation, and life insurance will be invaluable as we continue to grow APS. We would like to thank David for his significant contributions over the past 12 years as a non-executive director and for his contribution to the sector. David is a pioneer of structured giving and key architect of private ancillary funds. We are grateful for his long service and generous support and are pleased that he will remain closely connected to APS. Read more : https://lnkd.in/g3ngYUXy

Congratulations to Regenerators on their upcoming film #FutureCouncil. We are so happy the APS Bloom Funding Circle has been able to support this film and the impact Regen Studios is having. Described as ‘School of Rock’ meets ‘An Inconvenient Truth’, Future Council is a new film from Director Damon Gameau (2040, That Sugar Film). In the film, Damon takes eight kids on the ultimate school excursion: a road trip across Europe to challenge powerful leaders and find solutions to our greatest ecological challenges. Damon has just returned from showing the film with the cast at the UN General Assembly in New York. Learn more about the film and upcoming session times here: https://lnkd.in/gDSZkruW
That's a wrap for the #FutureCouncil at the United Nations General Assembly 79 in NYC! As you can imagine, it was a wild adventure. The children got to witness the full pageantry of global power and were given remarkable access to go inside the General Assembly hall plus the very exclusive Security Counsel - which is where countries in conflict hold their discussions. It was clear that above all else, global governance and geopolitical discussions became normalised for them. They became real and tangible - these were real chairs, at real tables, sat in by real people who made big decisions on behalf of others. None of us can know what impact this experience will have on the children, or what may come of it in the years and decades ahead. We want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who helped support us in taking the #FutureCouncil to the UN General Assembly, WILD EARTH OCEANIA film festival Phantm Intrepid Travel and the Honourable Tony Burke MP and the Australian Government through the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts for their support in helping to make this happen. @Future__Council @Regenerators @RubyRodgersMusic @AppleStreetMusic Australian Philanthropic Services, Alberts | The Tony Foundation
