Australian Surgical Assisting (ASA) was established by Dr Joanna Tait in 1994. ASA provides medically qualified, registered and indemnified surgical assistants to surgical specialists in Brisbane. ASA helps surgeons and practice managers every day by providing surgical assistants for regular lists, urgent cases or occasional lists. ASA invoices on behalf of the surgical assistants, easing the burden on the surgical specialist rooms. Medical Director: Dr Joanna Tait MBBS. Dr Joanna Tait is a member of AMA (Qld) and AAMSA (Australian Association of Medical Surgical Assistants). Dr Tait is the Qld Representative for AAMSA and the CPD Coordinator.
