We provide training, information and support for those who work with, live with, or love an individual with autism

About us

Autism Pathways is a non-profit organisation that trains, educates and supports parents, carers, and professionals working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Autism Pathways advocates for the adoption of early Applied Behaviour Intervention (ABA). Applied Behavioural Analysis is an evidence-based intervention that changes the behaviour, learning, and life outcomes of children with autism. It is recognised by the Federal Government’s Helping Children with Autism package as a comprehensive evidence-based intervention. It is also the only program to get an ‘ER’ rating from the Federal Government (ie, eligible based on established research evidence). Autism Pathways credibility and reputation is built upon almost two decades of support and information for people who live with, work with, or love a child with autism. Since its inception, its supporters and stakeholders have worked in the areas of advocacy and awareness, promoting and positioning ABA Therapy as a viable and sought-after option for families with an ASD child. The result is a peak industry body with the infrastructure and expertise to assist families, educators and professionals to better support ASD children. Autism Pathways also facilitates a quarterly ABA for Autism Round Table, and a biennial ABA conference. ABA Today is the only national autism conference to focus specifically on Applied Behaviour Analysis. ABA Today brings together the Victorian and Australian ABA communities, to showcase the most up-to-date ABA knowledge, research, and clinical practices.

It could be you receiving 1.5 Ethic CEUs and/or 1.5 Ethic PDUs when you book in today to attend the WEBINAR via ZOOM presented by Erin Leif. >>> What is it on? 'Disability Rights, Human Rights, and The Provision of Behaviour Support Services in Australia' In 2006, the United Nations adopted the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Developed in collaboration with people with disabilities, the purpose of the Convention is to promote, protect and ensure the full and equal enjoyment of all human rights and fundamental freedoms by all persons with disabilities. However, people with disability still struggle to access appropriate communication, education, healthcare, recreation, and employment. Although behaviour analysts and behaviour support practitioners often work directly with people with disabilities and their families, few descriptions of a human rights-based approach to the provision of behaviour support services have been published or provided. In this presentation, Dr Leif will provide an overview of the CRPD and human rights model of disability, why the CRPD is important to all behaviour analysts and behaviour support practitioners who provide services to people with disability and describe practical ways that practitioners can align their professional practice with a human rights-based model of disability. >>> There will be opportunities for questions and discussion following the presentation. 🧡🧡🧡 We look forward to seeing you there! Tickets are $25.00 for Members & $45.00 for Non-Members. Small invest for developing your professional knowledge and gaining credits! 🚨Book Your Spot Today - head to https://lnkd.in/gngypJ7r *Bookings Close at 12noon Saturday 9th of December* See You Virtually 😄
