Today, the Offshore Electricity Infrastructure Amendment Regulations 2024 go live. These have been a long time coming, and enable offshore wind licence holders to submit Management Plans for on-water feasibility investigations involving equipment that is fixed or tethered to the seabed. This includes the installation and operation of floating LIDAR devices, wave buoys and undertaking geotechnical investigations.    Aventus is preparing Management Plans for three of the 12 Gippsland offshore wind farm projects. Our experience in preparing Environment Plans in the offshore oil and gas space, our long history of working in the NOPSEMA regulatory space, combined with the expertise of our Principal HSE & Risk Consultant Pepper Shepherd in the design and implementation of HSE management systems, means that we’re perfectly placed to prepare these plans, which are heavily focused on work, health and safety (WHS) management system.   If you need advice on what’s required in an offshore wind Management Plan, please give our team a call.    More information about the new regulations are available here:  https://lnkd.in/gr8qb4bK

I'm excited to share that I've successfully completed the BOSIET course at ERGT. The training covered essential skills for offshore safety, including emergency response, survival techniques, and the use of safety equipment. I'm now more prepared to work in high-risk offshore environments, equipped with the knowledge to respond to emergencies and ensure safety at sea. Thanks to ERGT for delivering such a comprehensive program and the hands-on experience. Hopefully, I will never have to apply these skills in the field, but I now feel confident if I do so.
