Fragmentation glass testing is a process used to evaluate the safety and performance of toughened glass, which is designed to break into smaller, less dangerous pieces upon impact. This testing is essential to ensure that the glass meets safety standards, such as AS/NZS 2208:2023. Overall, fragmentation testing is a critical aspect of safety glazing standards, confirming that toughened glass meets the requirements for safe use in buildings. Below is a video where we demonstrate the process of fragmentation testing.

Last week, we had the pleasure of exhibiting at ScreeneX, hosted by the NSSA at the SeaWorld Conference Centre. It was a fantastic experience and an excellent opportunity to demonstrate compliance testing for Australian standards on security screen doors. Our setup featured a 43kg lead shot bag mounted to a frame, along with a custom-made security screen door. We showcased the impact on the security door using both 100J and 200J of energy, emphasizing the importance of compliance testing for security screens. A big thanks to Claudene Damianakis and the National Security Screen Association (NSSA) for putting together a wonderful event!
