The hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing sector is projected to generate $1.7 billion in revenue and nearly 4,000 jobs by 2050, solidifying Australia’s role in renewable hydrogen production. Similarly, advancements in data-driven satellite technology for crop insurance are set to enhance agricultural resilience, address inefficiencies, and empower farmers with innovative solutions. https://wix.to/UFsfxyp #BGA #EconomicPerspective #CleanEnergy

Our US Staff Jennifer Nunn, P.E. and Cortney Cortez concluded their Australia visit with a Brisbane visit to connect with Senior Economist Edwin Chihava and several of our favorite clients and colleagues. They enjoyed lunch at one of the riverfront cafés near the office before heading to the summit of Mount Coot-tha, where they took in stunning views of the Brisbane skyline behind them.

General Manager, Shima Madani, attended the NSW Coastal Conference along with staff from our Florida office - Jennifer Nunn, P.E. (Vice President and senior water resources engineer) and Cortney Cortez (senior economist). At the three-day conference, Jennifer gave a presentation on the integration of flood resiliency to stormwater design with Sea Level Rise in Florida. In this week's edition we have an article on the extreme flooding events that recently occurred in Spain and how prepared Australia is for such extreme rainfall events. We also have stories on water levels at the Murrumbidgee River, whether is suitable to bring carbon pricing back in Australia, the impacts of net-zero emissions targets on the climate, and more. Enjoy this week’s Economic Perspective, and have a great week! https://wix.to/Hz5YKer #BGA #EconomicPerspective #Climate #Flooding #Rainfall

Last week, our economists from Florida, Seattle and Australia stepped out of the office and into the field at the Archbold Biological Station and Buck Island Ranch. This experience allowed them to see firsthand the real-world examples of our work, understand the dynamic landscapes we study, and strengthen team bonds along the way! Their visit included: 🌿 Touring the lands and specimen libraries at Archbold Biological Station 🐢 Vising Red Hill to explore gopher tortoise habitats 🍽️ Sharing lunch and insights with researchers and staff 🐄 Experiencing Buck Island Ranch, a working cattle ranch that integrates scientific monitoring and water retention strategies, showcasing how cattle can play a role in landscape management Seeing these ecological initiatives up close inspires our team to continue the work they do with renewed purpose and perspective.

BGA's parent firm, The Balmoral Group, LLC, celebrated its' 20th Anniversary at the Art and History Museums Maitland last week! 🎉 Our General Manager & Senior Economist, Shima Madani, was in attendance and had a great time mingling and representing BGA.
The Balmoral Group recognized our 20th Anniversary this week, and we are incredibly grateful for the clients, colleagues and staff that have brought us this far. To celebrate, we adapted an Australian laughing art installation for non-stop chuckles, had a speed painter producing wonderful portraits of Florida nature, and enjoyed the company of 200 of our favorite people over the course of the evening at Maitland Art & History Museum. The museum campus is the only National Historic Landmark in Central Florida and one of the few remaining examples of “fantasy architecture” still in existence in the Southeastern U.S. Thanks for joining us!
