2024 has been BRAD's best year yet. ♻️ Over the last 12 months, the Banish Recycling and Diversion (or BRAD) program has grown even more - keeping an incredible 18.2 tonnes of hard-to-recycle items from households around Australia out of landfill. 🌻 Help needed for the Action Packed Tour coming in 2025 🌻 2025 is shaping up to be something else! With the launch of our founder, Lottie Dalziel's book on Feb 4, 2025 we plan on hitting the road to get out and meet as many people as possible! We're heading around the country to metro, rural and regional areas! Bringing BRAD to life and helping Aussies take action regarding their environmental impact and helping them money! We're looking to partner with brands, and connect with community groups/venues and businesses and councils to host talks and workshops. We're so excited to welcome not one but seven Stockland buildings across Sydney that are now home to the BRAD Mega Box program! The BRAD mega boxes allow tenants to recycle those hard-to-recycle items (blister packs, pens, single-use coffee cups and more). It's a great way to engage with people on recycling, educate people on what can and can't be recycled and also to increase recycling diversion rates. Each site will be provided with a comprehensive report once the boxes are full so we can work with them to change behaviours and reduce the use of single-use items! #recycling #recycle #stockland #banish #bradmegabox #behaviourchange

Last week we took BRAD to Queensland for the first time! Hosting an incredible two-day event at Heritage Lanes in Brisbane with Mirvac, where we transformed trash into treasure (and something useful) – pens! 🖊️✨ Throughout the event, we worked alongside attendees to make pens from recycled bottle top lids. Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm, we successfully diverted 1,600 bottle top lids from ending up in landfill! ♻️ Each pen made is a reminder that small, collective actions can have a big impact on our planet. A huge thank you to Heritage Lanes and all who joined us in turning trash into treasure. We've installed a BRAD Mega Box at 321 Kent Street in partnership with Dexus, making it even easier for the building’s community to recycle those hard-to-recycle items. 🌍 The BRAD program helps divert waste from landfill by collecting items like soft plastics, coffee capsules, and other tricky recyclables. It’s all about making sustainability more accessible and convenient, and we're thrilled to support Dexus in providing this service for their tenants and visitors.
