  • 🌟 2024: A Year of Growth, Connection, and Impact with Brown Boss Babes 🌟 As we reflect on 2024, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for the strides we’ve made together as a community. This year wasn’t just about ticking boxes; it was about building connections, creating opportunities, and amplifying voices that matter. 🎤 Partnered with the Australian South Asian Centre – Together, we celebrated the power of words through Brown Women Poetry, proving that our voices have the strength to inspire, heal, and empower. 👩🏫 Hosted a Leadership Series – Mariam Mohammed and Ashani Dante led us through an unforgettable journey of courage and innovation, reminding us what it means to lead with heart and purpose. 💻 Revived Virtual Networking – In a world that sometimes feels so distant, we reignited the power of connection, bringing people together no matter where they are. 🌟 Revealed a Bold New Look – Our modern logo and refreshed website are not just a rebrand; they’re a statement of who we are becoming – a thriving, ever-evolving movement. 📲 Launched WhatsApp Communities – A space where conversations turned into collaborations, and support turned into sisterhood. ✨ We ventured into Brisbane – A new city, a new community, and endless stories of resilience and sisterhood. You welcomed us with open arms, and we left with hearts full. For those of us eager to see us in Brisbane we have plans but right now nothing is set in stone. Every moment this year was a testament to the incredible strength, passion, and resilience of our community. We’ve laughed, learned, and leaned on each other through it all, and it’s your energy that fuels our mission. As we step into 2025, we do so with hope and excitement for what’s to come. We’re dreaming bigger, reaching further, and working harder to ensure that every woman in our community knows her worth and her power. Here’s to another year of breaking barriers, lifting each other up, and creating the future we deserve – together. 🤎 #brownbossbabes #yearinreview #womensupportingwomen #lookingahead #southasianwomen #browngirls #bbbau #modernwoman

  • The holiday season can be a mix of joy and challenges. While it’s a time to connect with loved ones, it’s also okay to acknowledge that gatherings can feel overwhelming or even triggering for some. Here’s your gentle reminder: ✨ It’s okay to say no to invitations that don’t serve your well-being. ✨ It’s okay to leave early if you need space to recharge from attending a gathering. ✨ It’s okay to stand up for yourself, politely but firmly, when conversations cross your boundaries. You’re allowed to prioritize your peace, even during the holidays. Remember, the best gift you can give yourself is kindness and self-respect. 💛 #familydynamics #holidayselfcare #healthyboundaries #mentalhealthmatters #holidaywellness #seasonofboundaries #selfcaretips #emotionalwellness

  • Founders, we know the journey can be isolating especially for those Solopreneurs. That’s why we brought together incredible group of trailblazing South Asian women from various industries in Sydney our Brown Boss Babes Founders’ End of Year Lunch 💼✨. While our paths may differ, we share common ground—the hustle, the passion, and the drive to keep going. This lunch was a space to connect, share, and remind each other that we’re never truly alone on this journey. We reflected on 2024 by sharing setbacks that taught us resilience and wins that fueled our fire 🔥. And we couldn’t help but get excited and share whats ahead for Brown Boss Babes in 2025 as we celebrate 7 incredible years! Here’s to lifting each other higher and continuing to redefine what it means to be a South Asian Women Founder. Thank you to The Events House for sponsoring and styling our lunch. Thank you to Colombo Social for hosting and feeding us. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing. #founderjourney #womeninbusiness #southasianfounders #brownbossbabes #womenentrepreneurs #southasianwomen #womenempowerment #womensupportingwomen #browngirlgang

  • Black Friday Sales have already started! With Black Friday actually being the 29 November this year. Here’s some tips to help you navigate the shopping frenzy! 1️⃣ Plan your shopping and create a list. Scope out the shops and see what is on offer. Focus on the big ticket items first! The biggest discounts are often on higher-priced items like electronics, appliances, and furniture. These items typically offer the most significant savings during Black Friday sales. 2️⃣ Set a budget - don’t be caught overbuying or spending beyond your means just because the discount is so good. Yes as south Asians we love a good deal but it’s not worth having to battle to survive till the next pay check comes in. 3️⃣ Shop early: Popular items sell out quickly, so start shopping early, especially if you’re looking at electronics or hot-ticket items. Many deals are already live now - check them out. 4️⃣ Take advantage and use cash back sites and apps. They can give you extra savings, and/or higher cashback rates with certain retailers. 5️⃣ Retailers often announce special deals or flash sales on their social media channels. Following them might give you a heads-up on additional discounts or limited-time offers. 6️⃣ Check Reviews and Warranties: Don’t be swayed only by price. Check reviews to ensure you’re buying a quality product, and verify that any warranties will still apply during the sale. Happy Shopping 😎 Are you going to be shopping during the Black Friday Sales? If you have any other tips, share them in the comments! #blackfriday #smartshopping #financialtips #savyshopper

  • ✨ Sydney End of Year Picnic ✨ It was a beautiful way to wrap up 2024, and we can’t wait to continue the celebrations in Melbourne on 24 November - visit the link in our bio to register. With perfect Sydney weather and even better company, we gathered to celebrate our End of Year Event just ahead of the busy holiday season. Aligned with Diwali, the atmosphere was filled with warmth, connection, and meaningful conversations that took priority over capturing content 🤭. A reminder that living in the moment is heavily underrated. The words of encouragement and praise we received from everyone who attended works always as a reminder as to why we volunteer our time to @brownbossbabesau to put events like this on for our community. Creating a safe space for South Asian Women to feel welcomed, supported and empowered is what we are about! We are looking forward to doing this all again in 2025. In 2025 we turn the lucky 7 years old - you best believe it’s going to be a big year for us! As always if you do have any questions, feedback or want to collaborate with us in 2025 please DM us.
