COMPLETED: Genesis Christian College Learning Village Genesis Christian College’s brand-new Learning Village is more than just a building; it's a nurturing environment that supports the holistic development of young learners. Strongly reflecting Genesis’ community-focused culture and progressive pedagogies, the Learning Village promotes a communal atmosphere where learning is not confined to a single classroom but is a shared, collective experience. At the heart of the Learning Village are vast, beautifully designed, interconnected learning areas designed for Prep and Lower Primary students. By eliminating barriers and creating a sense of openness, we encourage collaboration and interaction among students, and team teaching among staff. Recognising that children have diverse learning styles, the Learning Village includes distinct zones tailored to various modes of learning. Whether it's a quiet corner for individual reading, a collaborative area for group projects, places for messy activities, or a space for outdoor imaginative play, each zone is designed to flexibly support and enhance different educational activities. This zoned approach, developed in collaboration with the school’s leadership and teachers, allows educators to provide differentiated instruction that meets the needs of every student. Creativity often flourishes in messiness, and the dedicated wet areas provide the perfect space for messy play, where children can engage in hands-on activities such as painting, water play, and sensory exploration. These areas are designed with easy-to-clean surfaces and ample storage for materials, ensuring that creativity can flow freely without constraints. Our design also ensures that every corner of the Learning Village benefits from the health and psychological benefits of abundant natural light and connection to the outdoors, which has been shown to improve mood, concentration, and overall well-being. Bedford have successfully completed five separate projects for Parklands Christian College over the past two years, with our most recent being a collection of multi-storey classroom buildings forming the new Middle School Precinct. The buildings are connected through walkway structures and a feature internal amphitheatre. The project provides the College with new learning facilities and external breakout spaces for informal teaching. Footage by Rix Ryan Photography Architecture by Bickerton Masters

Works on the $6 million AFL Clubhouse at Everleigh are looking incredible from top – to bottom. Watch our latest video update with Bedford's very own Site Manager Phil McIntosh and Archerfield Production Manager Justin Blom. The new clubhouse, which will become home to the Greenbank Giants Australian Rules Football Club, is being delivered in partnership between Mirvac Residential, Logan City Council, AFL Queensland, and the Queensland Government.

  • Bedford has established a strong partnership with Lutheran Education Queensland (LEQ) over the years and has successfully completed its most significant project at Redeemer Lutheran College. The Innovation Hub is an advanced education facility that offers students a diverse range of subjects, encouraging creativity and exploration. The project's structure boasts 1,000 cubic meters of concrete, 63 tons of reinforcement, and 109 tons of structural steel. These materials work harmoniously to create a sturdy and resilient foundation for the building. A great project to develop alongside Bickerton Masters. Images by Rix Ryan Photography.

  • The Hymba Yumba Independent School (HYIS) has been built upon the traditions of Indigenous culture, spirituality and identity. The Bedford team is busy undertaking exciting work to develop a versatile, multi-storey general learning area and performance hall. The design includes Indigenous yarning circles, which represent a space for gathering, sharing stories, showcasing art, singing and speaking the language of Ancestors. We are proud to work alongside Deicke Richards to bring this meaningful project to life.
