Winning the 2024/25 Established Family Business Award for Western Australia means a lot to us. It’s a recognition of the journey, the challenges, and the people who’ve been with us every step of the way. With three generations at the table last week, it was a special moment seeing Steve Johnston (Grandpa) smiling ear to ear as his son accepted the award. Thank you, Family Business Association (AU), for hosting an excellent event and hearing our story.

We are proud to have been the supplier of reinforcement steel for the Bunbury Outer Ring Road project over the last three years, and it's incredible to see how far the project has come!
BORR is 85% completed! Check out our most recent drone footage to see just how far the project has come. Starting in the north at the Paris Road and Clifton Road interchange, we travel the entire 27 kilometre length past 11 bridges all the way to the southern tip where we reconnect with Bussell Highway.

We also threaded 2,844 bars and couplers using our in-house BT threading machine, ensuring all delivery lead times were met. The Eighty-Eight O’Connell street project involved 3 towers above the ground floor, requiring the precise delivery of over 2,200 tonnes of steel reinforcement. Disorganised delivery could result in a cascade of negative consequences, including: labour waste and project timeline disruption. Our logistics and production teams meticulously labelled and colour-coded each steel delivery for the towers, ensuring smooth operations. Shout out to our partners at Commercial & General and Tandem Building Group for bringing this landmark project to life.

Supplying reinforcement steel for a bridge spanning a freeway is always a challenging task. The Stephenson Avenue Extension project required a technique called the incremental launching method, where the bridge is launched one segment at a time. This method demanded precision and close cooperation from our scheduling team. Well done to all involved!
