From Piauí - Brazil to Australia (When Black women move, the whole structure of society moves with them- Angela Davis). It was amazing to receive an International Sponsored Place for 2024 from the Biochemical Society to attend the Biomolecular Horizons 2024 (BMH2024) Congress in Melbourne, Australia! 🎉 Being selected as a Young Scientist Program 2024 awardee has been an incredible honor, and it was an amazing experience to present my research on the role of Syndecan-4 in breast cancer, funded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. I had the opportunity to present both a poster and an oral presentation and I’m excited to share that I won the BMH Quiz! Biomolecular Horizons 2024 was an exceptionally diverse conference, featuring important themes that go beyond science, such as Indigenous Perspectives and Climate Change. These topics are crucial for the well-being of our society, and it was inspiring to see the scientific community addressing them with such dedication. This journey was full of inspiring discussions, new connections, and innovative ideas. Had the most amazing time at Biomolecular Horizons 2024 conference in Naarm ! Was so nice to chat with so many amazing scientists and a big congratulations to all the amazing posters and speakers. Was so nice to catch up with old friends from WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research). Thank you to MAWA for the conference bursary and to my supervisor Joseph Brock for taking us !

Last week I had the pleasure of Chairing a plenary by Dr. Norbert Pardi from UPenn at the Biomolecular Horizons 2024 Conference in Melbourne. This lecture was a fantastic summary of the history of mRNA technology and the future opportunities for this exciting technology. It was great to hear from someone who has been at the coalface since 2011, working alongside Nobel prizewinners Katalin Kariko and Drew Wiseman. Norbert Pardi is a real superstar in this field!

I'm thrilled to share that I recently presented my master's research, funded by STDF, at the Biomolecular Horizons 2024 conference in Melbourne, Australia 🎉 #BMH2024 My research was under the supervision of Dr. Mariam shama Marium M. Shamaa , Prof. Ahmed Wahid Ahmed Wahid and Prof. Ahmed El-Yazbi Ahmed El-Yazbi ,from the Arab Academy AASTMT Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport , Alexandria University, and Alamein International University (AIU). It was an incredible experience to engage with leading scientists and gain valuable insights from discussions. The event featured inspiring lectures from Nobel Prize laureate Brian Kobilka, setting a high bar for scientific exploration and collaboration. A huge thank you to the organizers for creating such a dynamic platform for networking and learning. I'm excited to apply these new perspectives to my research journey..
