Have you heard of glimmers? Deb Dana described glimmers as micro-moments we experience of safety and connection. These provide the opposite response to triggers which send us cues of danger. Glimmers can be sights, sounds, people and experiences that act as cues of safety. Building the capacity to notice glimmers is important for the nervous system as we begin to grow an awareness of what helps us feel safe.

Have you heard of the term, "Interpersonal Warmth" or "Social Warmth"? For survivors, it can refer to the ability to create a safe, empathetic, and nonjudgmental connection, which paves the way for trust and emotional safety. There is a genuine mind-body connection between feeling warmth and the feeling of being loved.

This holiday season, we're honoured to offer a gift to everyone in our Blue Knot community - for those of you who have sought our support and those who have provided it during 2024. Your experiences and insights, and your strength and compassion, inspired us to produce a song titled 'Blue Knot' - a song of hope and of healing. It's free to download, but if you'd like to make a donation you can choose to do so. All donations are tax-deductible and help us provide much-needed support during a season that can be challenging for many survivors. Thank you for being part of our Blue Knot community.
