Boresight Unmanned Aerial Targets for CUAS Swarming Threat Emulation, Training and Red-Teaming
About us
Boresight is a world leader in providing threat emulation for Counter small-Unmanned Aerial Systems Training and Red-Teaming through the use of its low-cost Unmanned Aerial Target platforms and swarming capable GCS. Drone proliferation has meant that even unsophisticated adversaries are able to use drones for ISR or for weapons delivery. This is no longer an emerging threat – it is here and now. The nature of warfare and public safety has changed forever. How you equip and train your forces for Counter-small UAS (C-sUAS) is becoming increasingly important. But how do you achieve the most realistic C-sUAS training to ensure your forces are fit to fight the evolving drone threat? By training against the actual threat, that’s how. No soldier or system achieves proficiency in any discipline through inadequate or unrealistic training. The same applies for C-sUAS training. Proficiency cannot be expected in your soldiers on their C-sUAS capabilities if they can’t train effectively against simulated threats or where training is restricted due to the cost or capability limitations of the targets being used. Boresight addresses these limitations by fielding cost effective yet highly capable aerial target drones. Boresight aerial target drones are cheap enough to enable the actual drones themselves to be readily targeted, but capable enough to provide for training scenarios that increase in complexity and difficulty as skills and proficiency improve. Boresight is a training enabler. Boresight provides drones as C-sUAS aerial targets capable of mimicking the evolving threat from drones for both kinetic and RF based C-sUAS solutions. Boresight achieves this at a fraction of the cost of using commercial drones as targets. More targets for less money means you can train against more targets more often. This allows your forces to defeat more targets through repetition, which builds operator muscle memory and confidence, resulting in higher proficiency with your C-sUAS systems.

Boresight had an incredible experience at I/ITSEC 2024 in Orlando last week! 🎯 It was our first time attending this particular trade show alongside #TeamDefenceAustralia and the first time we were postitioned along side our great friends at RAIDER Targetry, we were thrilled with the results. The event was a great success, providing us with invaluable opportunities to engage with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and professionals from various training units within the US Department of Defense . From showcasing our cutting-edge aerial target solutions to discussing the future of military C-sUAS training technologies, we had meaningful interactions with a diverse range of industry leaders. The feedback and interest we received reaffirmed the vital role Boresight plays in advancing training capabilities for Defence forces around the world. We’re proud to be at the forefront of innovation in this space, and we look forward to continuing our collaborations with both domestic and international partners. We’re already looking ahead to I/ITSEC 2025! Boresight will definitely be exhibiting again in Orlando, and we’re excited to build on the connections we’ve made and bring even more exciting solutions to the global Defence community. A big thank you to all who visited our booth and took the time to explore what Boresight has to offer. See you in 2025! 🚀 #Boresight #IITSEC2024 #MilitaryTraining #AerialTargets #Innovation #Defense #TeamDefenceAustralia #IITSEC2025 #NextGenTraining #DoD #DefenseIndustry

Boresight, in partnership Level Peaks, is proud to be supporting the British Army and Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) with the development of their Laser Directed Energy Weapon (LDEW) system. The UK Ministry of Defence video speaks for itself. Our aerial target platforms were no match for the Raytheon UK LDEW! It's always great to be supporting innovation projects in the C-sUAS space! Directed Energy weapons are certainly a rising capability and a deadly tool for the warfighter to employ against sUAS threats.
During recent trials, the British Army's laser directed energy weapon (LDEW) destroyed flying drones for the first time. The LDEW is fully portable, easy to operate, and capable of tracking multiple targets simultaneously. It uses advanced sensors and tracking systems to lock-on and direct an intense beam of infra-red light at enemy drones and was mounted on a Wolfhound armoured vehicle. Unlike conventional munitions, laser weapons are virtually limitless in terms of ammunition supply, which means they could represent a cost-effective alternative to some current in-service weapons. The LDEW was developed through a collaboration between the MoD's Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), Dstl, and an industry consortium led by Raytheon UK. Read more here: https://ow.ly/qfka50UoV6e

Happy Friday! Here’s something that brings joy, a pickup full of destroyed Boresight Raider UAS targets after a recent 29 Palms USMC C-sUAS activity. Many manufacturers cringe when one of their UAS are destroyed, let alone when multiple UAS in a single afternoon are destroyed. Boresight has the opposite approach, we eagerly encourage the engagement and destruction of our UAS! C-sUAS kinetic training with real drones is essential to any organisation on the modern battlefield. It’s no surprise to see the USMC are taking C-sUAS seriously.

Boresight has been busy at 29 Palms supporting the United States Marine Corps for a dismounted #CUAS activity. Lots of interesting technologies being tested to support the future warfighters detect, identify and defeat sUAS threats.

What a busy week it’s been in DC at Association of the United States Army - AUSA supported by Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and the Australian Army. Many great conversations with an increased interest in #CUAS training and sustainment for the US DoD.

Another milestone for the Boresight team! BQ400 number 2000 came off the production line last week. A big shout out to Lachlan and Matt our two assembly technicians who manage the planning, supply chain, printing, production, assembly, quality assurance, test flying and packaging of every UAS that leaves the Boresight facility. Well done gentlemen!
