Sponsor Appreciation 📣📣 Chevron's vision is to be the global energy company most admired for its people, partnership and performance. As a BBMC Annual Sponsor, Chevron is ticking all those boxes for us! Thank you, Chevron Australia, for displaying your commitment to the people of the Bowen Basin by partnering with the BBMC as an Annual Sponsor to connect businesses and advocate for the mining industry.
About us
GROWTH THROUGH NETWORKING Established in 2010, the Bowen Basin Mining Club (BBMC) brings bi-monthly networking luncheons to regional Queensland towns with a Bowen Basin connection. These luncheons are designed to open the pipeline of communication between mine sites, suppliers and innovators in the industry. Each function hosts key industry leaders and influencers as guest speakers, bringing mining company CEOs, supply chain VPs, major contractors and new explorers outside of the office. CLUB MEMBERSHIP The BBMC is completely free to join open to all sectors of the industry from large international companies and OEM’s through to government organisations and small local businesses. Members only pay to attend each luncheon while also gaining access to the BBMC’s regular industry updates. A forum of this structure is long overdue for regional Queensland and is designed to promote healthy business relationships and foster growth within the community. It is envisaged that our events will generate new leads for companies and provide influence where perhaps they have been unable to reach before. Acting as champions and advocates for the Bowen Basin mining industry, the BBMC also holds ancillary events to directly connect mining companies with stakeholders, as well as hosting the Queensland Mining Awards every two years With expert speakers, strong industry participation and community support we believe the BBMC Networking Luncheons are an essential event in all company calendars. For more information on the BBMC please contact the Director Jodie Currie on 0412 998 501 or go to ww.bbminingclub.com for upcoming events or to join.

Were you in the room? Our November Luncheon with guest panel Nick Jorss, Craig McCabe, Shane Hansen and Danny McCarthy was a worthy end to the 2024 Luncheon program. Photos available here. https://lnkd.in/gvbsnA6s

Looking forward to ending our 2024 Luncheon Series with our high-powered panel of guest speakers - and you! We’ve got a cracking list of questions ready to spark some interesting and engaging discussion. Thanks to Mackay Safety for sponsoring the event.

Sincere thanks to our luncheon venue sponsor Hillcock Industrial. Jarryd Hill, Sandra Alcock and the team do things differently, with great passion. And their support of the BBMC is one of those things! Thanks Hillcock Industrial, we're cheering you on as you grow.

Our sincere thanks to Mayor Greg Williams and the team at Mackay Regional Council for your continuing support and encouragement of the Bowen Basin Mining Club. Our members really enjoy the opportunity for a handshake and catch up with Council representatives at our luncheons and events. Thank you!

Mackay Safety is our Luncheon Sponsor for the last BBMC event for 2024 - our panel discussion on Wednesday 20 November. Big thanks to Mick and the team for your strong support of our BBMC community! Congratulations on your growth of Mackay Safety from 2004 to today, now not only offering well-known compliance management software 4PS, but digitisation and drilling management software, alongside comprehensive safety consulting expertise. 👏👏

Rounding out our November Luncheon speaker panel, Nick Jorss, Executive Chairman, Bowen Coking Coal Ltd. , really needs no introduction to the BBMC. Nick is arguably one of the Bowen Basin's loudest and proudest advocates, leading the way on many fronts in changing the public narrative on coal. Just this year, Nick has spearheaded the Coal Australia not-for-profit movement, in many ways representing the vast majority of Australians who understand the integral importance of our coal industry. We might hear more about this topic at the final BBMC luncheon for 2024, coming up soon on Wednesday 20 November. Need a late ticket? There's just a few left. Book here. https://lnkd.in/g9TGabAx

The BBMC Comms Manager Sarah-Joy Pierce has been keeping an eye on thought leadership content for the upcoming BBMC Yearbook in Sydney this week at International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC). Also nice to catch up with BBMC sponsors AAMG who were exhibiting at the event!

TerraCom Limited Managing Director, Danny McCarthy joins the awesome line-up for our end of year speaker panel at the BBMC Luncheon on Wednesday 20 November. Danny's wealth of experience in both the Queensland and WA mining sectors gives him a strong strategic perspective. We look forward to hearing his wisdom on current challenges and opportunities. There's still time to book your seat. Click here. https://lnkd.in/g9TGabAx
