BPW Geelong is part of BPW Australia, a national community of women working to end gender inequity. By empowering women, the broader community thrives, increasing positive productivity and growth. What we do: - Influencing. Advocacy and mentoring are at the heart of what we do, while developing life-long friendships along the way. Supporting, encouraging and educating women and girls. - Growing. Empowering through professional and personal development. Developing leadership through building women's competence, capacity and confidence in their personal and professional arenas. - Connecting. Making things happen through projects, local, national and international. We run events such as seminars, workshops and leadership weekends when we learn, share and enjoy getting to know each other. BPW members have a reputation for being committed, proactive, friendly, professional, smart...and lots of fun. We welcome as members women in both paid and voluntary work, including women who used to work and women who aspire to work. BPW Australia is affiliated to BPW International, which has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and has expert and experienced representatives accredited to most United Nations agencies.
