Welcoming Our 2025 TAFE Cohort! 🎉 Two weeks ago, we were thrilled to welcome our second cohort of students to the Institute of Business and Sport at our home, Brighton Homes Arena! With two cohorts now on-site, our facility is buzzing with energy, and we love seeing the space come to life each day. We can’t wait to watch their growth and progression throughout the course. A huge shoutout to our Education Program Manager, Anna O'Keeffe, for her incredible efforts in shaping this program at the Club. We’re also excited to have Avessa Johnson stepping into the role of Student Experience Coordinator, ensuring students are fully supported throughout their educational and work integrated learning experiences. Built on Belief. With the countdown on until the Lions Opening Round clash against Geelong, this season’s campaign is narrated by premiership winning coach Chris Fagan and is a celebration of the passionate Lions fans that make our club what it is. ‘Built on Belief’ features a cast of Brisbane Lions fans and members, including Linda and Jeffrey who are life-long Lions Fans, Bridget, Thalia, Matt and Jack who watch Lions away matches from the Pineapple Hotel and the Yeronga Devils QAFLW team. Over four action-packed days, we: 🏉 Visited 11 footy clubs 🙌 Engaged with 2,500+ fans 👦 Helped 1,140+ kids sharpen their skills 🔥 Survived the heat, applying more sunscreen then one could count 🛍️ Sold out of Bears Training Guernseys & On-Field Bucket Hats at the Lions pop-up shop! Our players gave back in a big way—running skills sessions, Q&As, community dinners, and even a bit of beach footy! Special thanks to our community teams, football department, Academy, and media teams for making this possible 👏 We also had an incredible visit to Youi Insurance HQ, celebrating our partnership with employees and their families. With the 2025 season just around the corner, excitement is building. Who’s ready to roar!? 🦁

Ahead of the new season, we had the pleasure of welcoming our partners, the Premiership-winning Brisbane Lions, to Youi’s Headquarters for a fantastic afternoon of celebration. The afternoon provided an exciting opportunity for Youi employees and their families to engage with Brisbane Lions players, enjoy meet-and-greets with key players including Dayne Zorko and Harris Andrews, snap some selfies, and get an up-close look at the iconic Premiership Cup. This day was a wonderful way to celebrate the Brisbane Lions’ achievements from last year and kick off a new era of our partnership which is only one of three Premier Partnerships within the AFL. We’re incredibly proud to partner with the Brisbane Lions, who take a whole of club approach and is willing to share its success and invest time back into Youi’s employees through amazing experiences. That’s a wrap on season 2024 ❤️ As a token of the players appreciation, Harris Andrews, Hugh McCluggage, Will Ashcroft, Jaspa Fletcher, and Darcy Fort came together to present the Lions staff with a miniature premiership cup, engraved with each of their names. It’s a reminder that it really does take a whole club to achieve the ultimate success. From the players and coaches to the staff behind the scenes, every single person played a part in bringing the 2024 AFL Premiership home to Brisbane. What a season. What a team. What a club.
