Today is a day worth celebrating in the education sector 🙌 The Victorian Government have shared the significant growth of new teachers that have joined the education sector in the past two years. This is thanks to the successful delivery of over 5,000 Early Childhood Scholarships since the program began. We are so pleased to see the positive impact these scholarships are having on Early Childhood Educators and are proud to be delivering this program in Victoria. ✨ A Truly Rewarding Day ✨ Today, I had the privilege of volunteering with some colleagues at Friends with Dignity Ltd, a national, community-driven non-profit organization dedicated to supporting domestic violence victim survivors who The BUSY Group is a proud Platinum Supporter of. I was apart of their incredible Sanctuary Program today by helping build furniture to be used in their latest Sanctuary home. The Sanctuary Program is run by amazing Volunteers who transform an empty house into a warm and welcoming home. Homes are filled with items that range from household essentials like bed linens, towels, and crockery, to more personal items like toiletries and gift cards that allow their clients to choose their own clothing and personal care items, in addition the program also provides white goods, electronics, furniture and basic kitchen appliances all supplied via donation. Today was another great example of how much impact The BUSY School’s is having on our disengaged youth. I had the pleasure of meeting Geoff Smith from Prestige Plunge Pools taking on young Joshua to undertake a certificate III in Landscape Construction. At the sign up I asked Joshua how he found The BUSY School’s and he couldn’t speak more highly. He said he found his place, where he could continue his studies whilst dealing with the pressures of life and focusing on where he wanted to be in the future. I was blown away by how grateful he sounded. BUSY At Work are very excited to see Joshua joining up with the Prestige Plunge Pools team and we look forward to supporting them through this journey.
