Since 2001, BWS has grown from being the local bottle shop, to become the largest and most convenient drinks retailer in Australia. There is over 1400 stores across every state and territory in the country. We employ over 9000 team members who work across a variety of roles. At BWS, we want to be the unboring bottleshop and create a place where all Aussies belong and we only have three rules: We bring the vibes We invite everyone in We do drinks your way We know that our customers see us as their local bottle shop too, so we stop at nothing to make sure we offer a great tailored range that meets the needs of our local communities we serve. After all, we started as a local neighbourhood bottle shop back in 2001 in the Sydney suburb of Cabramatta, so keeping things 'local' is familiar territory for us! We make sure our teams come first so they can put customers first, and we back this up by a genuine commitment to industry best practice training and development.

    This festive season, The Real Shift returned – our annual program where support team members join our stores for a day. It’s a unique chance to connect with customers, collaborate with retail teams, and gain firsthand insight into the heart of what we do. In stores across the country, our support team worked side by side with our incredible store teams. Here are some highlights: 👉 Steven Rebello at Crows Nest Walk: "It was great to understand how team members use store technology and to learn about the different systems and tools... Eye opening experience for me (first time ever on the other side of the checkout machine!) and loved every minute of it! Looking forward to doing this more often next year." 👉 Sara Catts at Warringah: “I had an amazing time with Courtney and Zac at Warringah! Heaps of customers looking for gifts and solid take up of ‘Get it for $12' promo – fun to see how the value prompts give a thrill to customers getting a little win!” 👉 Chantelle Matar at Preston: “Spent my morning with Sharon (store manager) and we had a blast! Customers absolutely ADORE her!” 👉 Melinda Pearce at Golden Square: “Loved every minute of it! The store looked amazing with a very festive feel! 'Get it for $12' promo was a massive hit – and were super proud to be the #1 store selling it in their area.” The Real Shift is more than a program – it’s a reflection of Endeavour’s core value: We’re Real.     🎄 At BWS, we believe in the true spirit of Christmas—caring for our community. This year, the annual BWS GIVIT.org.au Christmas Appeal is underway, and our goal is to raise $30,000 to support families in need. This week, GIVIT CEO Chris Staines and BWS GM of Marketing Josie Brown shared a heartfelt conversation about the growing demand for support this festive season, with more than 20,000 requests for help from families across the country.     To kick off the sparkling season in style, Ovata by Oakridge treated Sydneysiders to a weekend of luxury at the breathtaking Gatsby House in Darling Point, from October 26-27, with a glamorous launch event on the evening of October 25. The launch celebration was a showstopper, featuring a live performance by Australian singer and songwriter Samantha Jade. Guests, including media, celebrities, and influencers, enjoyed her poolside set as they mingled and soaked in the lavish atmosphere. Ovata House was then open to consumers  across the following  two afternoons. Tickets saw guests sipping Ovata by Oakridge alongside a selection of sparkling based cocktails for the duration of the event, and canapes by Aplenty. It was the ultimate pool-club vibe complete with a live DJ,  the backdrop of Gatsby House, an 18-metre pool, and Mediterranean-inspired architecture. Celebrating its second year in market, Ovata by Oakridge is a sparkling wine crafted by winemaker Teresa Heuzenroeder, who has over 20 years of experience working across Australia’s most notable wine regions. In partnership with Yarra Valley winery Oakridge, Teresa Heuzenroeder has selected only the best chardonnay and pinot noir grapes in the region. Ovata is bottle fermented and aged an average of 18 months on lees to develop a wine that perfectly balances freshness and complexity. “The name Ovata comes from the Latin word ‘ovatus’ meaning to rejoice and applaud, and that’s the exact sentiment of Ovata by Oakridge; a sparkling wine that invites the celebration of life’s occasions with confidence,” said Heuzenroeder. Heading into the festive season, it’s not only a celebration of Ovata but Australian Sparkling, which offers exceptional value.     Rolling Out BWS 4.0: The Unboring Bottle Shop Evolution We’re thrilled to announce that last Friday, October 25th, we celebrated the launch of three new BWS stores in our 4.0 format across NSW, VIC, and QLD. This latest design reimagines the bottle shop experience, bringing the Unboring Bottle Shop concept to life and keeping "Value Your Way" at the heart of it all. These stores are part of an 11-store pilot for FY25, a testament to our team’s hard work in creating a dynamic and welcoming experience for our customers. The 4.0 format isn't just a facelift—it’s a commitment to rethinking every aspect of the shopping journey: Pacific Pines, QLD: Our first Queensland store in the 4.0 format, with an upgraded dual-lane drive-thru, extended cool room, fresh aisle navigation, and a modernised in-store experience. Positioned next to ALH Pacific Pines Tavern, it offers convenience and accessibility for every type of shopper. Springwood, NSW: Proudly serving the Blue Mountains range, this standalone store has been reimagined with upgraded cooling, a refreshed floor plan, and improved in-store flow, giving our Springwood customers a warm and inviting local option. Bayswater Drive, VIC: Aligned with the complete renewal of the adjoining ALH venue, this store now features advanced refrigeration, in-aisle navigation, and a revamped dual-lane drive-thru, enhancing the entire shopping experience.     What an incredible night at the BWS Cool Room at SXSW Sydney! We had the amazing Jungle Giants take the stage, delivering a high energy performance that had everyone on their feet! Bringing to life a live performance in such a unique space is no mean trick, but we’re proud to have pulled off our final Cool Room of the year with the support of Largo Brewing and all our fantastic guests. A huge shoutout to the talented teams who brought this vision to life. From concept to execution, you created another unforgettable night. Can’t wait to see what 2025 brings!
