As part of our partnership with the Cancer Council for our Working with Cancer Initiative we have been empowering our people to develop the skills and confidence to talk to people affected by cancer in the workplace. Many of the leaders across Publicis Groupe and our agencies have been actively participating in Cancer Conversation training run by the Cancer Council, with sessions taking place across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and New Zealand. Key takeaways from the sessions include: - Embracing vulnerability and openness: Participants have shown incredible willingness to engage in discussions and ask important questions they may have hesitated to address before. - Practical tools and resources: Delivered by experts from Cancer Council, the training provided advice, guidance and shared practical tools to navigate cancer in the workplace. Their guidance highlighted the support available, the impacts of cancer and the importance of boundaries in our roles. Together, we’re not just building awareness but also equipping ourselves with the skills and confidence to support our colleagues affected by cancer. Thank you to Cancer Council NSW for running this important training with us. If you would like to know how to run similar training in your organisation, please get in touch. #ProudToBePublicis #WorkingWithCancer

It’s National Skin Cancer Action Week 2024! ☀️ checklistAI content tips ACD - The Australasian College of Dermatologists to encourage all Australians to make sun protection a daily habit to protect their skin from UV exposure. Often called our ‘national cancer’, Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world, with two in three Australians developing skin cancer in their lifetime. Most of us know someone who has been impacted, whether they’re a family member, a friend, a colleague or a neighbour. 📊 Recent statistics show that only 53.9% of Australians utilised three or more forms of sun protection during peak UV times last summer. This is concerning, as over-exposure to UV radiation is responsible for up to 95% of melanomas, the most dangerous form of skin cancer. The good news? Skin cancer is almost entirely preventable. Let’s make sun protection a habit to protect our skin from UV exposure and ensure a healthier future for all Australians. Read our new article, with insights from Dr Adriene Lee, President of the Australasian College of Dermatologists: Protecting your skin from incidental sun exposure | Cancer Council When the UV is 3 or above, remember to use all five forms of sun protection: Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, and Slide. #NationalSkinCancerActionWeek #SunSafeHabits #ProtectYourSkin
