Using AI to detect mould & cracks in a property! Continuing our exploration of Spatial Intelligence's potential, we recently worked on a fascinating project: investigating its use for automatic mould and crack detection in a property. This project stemmed from a valuable collaboration with a customer in the insurance/surveying industry. Their goal was to streamline property inspections by automatically identifying potential problems within a scanned space. This translates to faster assessments, improved accuracy, and a significant reduction in manual effort. Here's what we delved into: 👉 We put our current Spatial Intelligence workflow through its paces, seeing how well it could detect cracks, mould and defects within a 3D scan. 👉 Throughout the project, we meticulously measured the accuracy of detection to identify areas for improvement. Asking ourselves; How can it speed up and automate manual processes & tasks? 👉We explored the best methods and tools to achieve the highest possible accuracy in crack and mould detection in the future. This was a valuable first step, and the potential is massive for a future where AI-powered inspections become the norm, saving time, resources, and potentially even lives.
