This month, Practice Manager of Parent Line NSW Vanessa spoke to The Catholic Weekly, discussing how 2024 has never been a more difficult time to be a parent and child. “Everyone just wants what’s best for their child, and despite all the changes affecting family life, what hasn’t changed is that a lot rests on the relationship with your child," says Vanessa. With the ongoing impacts of COVID, increasing risk of social media usage, school refusals and much more, parents and carers are needing support and guidance more than ever. "I do think parents bear more responsibility for the quality of that relationship."
