(Français ci-dessous) As many of you know, in the 20/CENT Style column, I love to look at brands or products that stand out from the crowd and liven up their category. And this is especially true in the wine segment, because in my view this is one of the last categories where brands do not dominate, and where they have to make an effort to stand out.  In this instalment, let’s take a look at Kangaroo Ridge. The brand has been on our shelves for almost a quarter of a century, and stands out for its approach. You can read about it on : https://lnkd.in/eEAWX_dv Or you can choose to listen to Dagmar Roesner who explains the story on the microphone of the Retail Influencer podcast : https://lnkd.in/epg5w3vM ---------- Comme beaucoup d'entre vous le savent, dans la rubrique 20/CENT Style, j'aime m'intéresser aux marques ou aux produits qui sortent du lot et dynamisent leur catégorie. • Château Tanunda has gained its Sustainable Winegrowing Australia (SWA) certification!   Château Tanunda is proud to announce it has been accredited as a Certified Member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia (SWA). SWA is the Australian wine industry’s national program for winemakers and growers to acknowledge their commitment to sustainable processes throughout the vineyard and winery.   To attain the accreditation, Château Tanunda underwent an independent audit against the Australian Wine Industry Standards of Sustainable Practice – Winery (AWISSP-WIN1). The certification is in line with Château Tanunda’s commitment to sustainability across its entire estate. ‘’As a winery with a 130-year history, we understand the vital role that sustainability plays in producing wines for generations to come.’’   ‘’In 2021, we established an Environmental Management System (EMS) and have undertaken self-initiated audits such as Freshcare and SMETA for ethical trade. We also established a dedicated EMS team at the winery to monitor and record our energy usage. This allows us to review our environmental performance each year and measure our progress towards achieving our environmental objectives and targets.’’ says second-generation Managing Director Michelle Geber. “Being SWA-certified is a huge testament to our team and the focus we put on implementing sustainable and Environmental Management practices. We are committed to doing everything we can to reduce our environmental impact, whether it’s in the vineyard, in the winery or in our broader operations.’’   The SWA accreditation follows Château Tanunda’s eco-conscious efforts across the estate. The estate has also recently been accredited as a sustainable tourism business with the Tourism Council of South Australia. Château Tanunda recycles 100% of its water and is powered by 100% renewable energy, including 60kw of onsite solar generation. The team is also always working to educate themselves on how to improve soil health and maximise water-use efficiency.
