What does it look like to be one of our International Experts in Resident (IEIR)? As we wrap up the year, here’s a look back at some of our standout moments from the last year: 🖥️ New Website Launch: Our new website makes it easier than ever to access CHICC info, resources and join us as a member! 🤝 Collaborating with the ANDHealth ACTIVATE Cohort: Welcoming promising startups from across Victoria, we hosted many collaborative sessions to support the talented 2024 cohort in driving healthcare innovation. 💡 Supporting Local Innovators: From workshops and events to coworking and networking, we've supported hundreds of local digital and connected health companies in their journey to scale and create impact. 🌍 Global Stage at HLTHUS: We proudly showcased Victoria’s pioneering ecosystem on the world stage at HLTHUS in Las Vegas, connecting with global health pioneers and putting Victoria on the map. 🎤 Welcoming Global Experts: We had the privilege of hosting three global thought leaders, Lisa Suennen (Venture Valkyrie – USA), Andrew Murphy (erisbeg – Ireland) and Liz Ashall-Payne (ORCHA – UK), further establishing Victoria as a thriving centre for digital health innovation. We love welcoming many talented digital health founders into our space – and it's nice to know the feeling is mutual! What better way to end another epic year than with some kind words from one of our cherished CHICC members, Josh Farrington, Founder and CEO of Healio. Josh regularly participates in CHICC workshops, events and coworking and recently completed ANDHealth's 2024 ACTIVATE program, frequently hosted by CHICC. Check out his reflections from the past year: 🦸 Proudest achievement: This year, Josh had the privilege of leading focus groups with cancer patients, providing them with a platform to share their experiences and shape the design of an emerging innovation that will transform their hospital journey and address many of their pain points. “Their genuine enthusiasm and support for our solution both highlighted the need for it and reassured me that we’re on the right path to creating meaningful change in the lives of patients and families.” ⭐ Most valuable experience: Josh found immense value in our ' Achieving Impact with Digital Health Pilots.' Expert Workshop. Josh loves all of our workshops, but these insights were particularly relevant as Healio prepares to launch several pilots in early 2025. 🔐Most memorable moment: One of Josh's highlights has been his friendships and professional connections made within our vibrant community. “CHICC has been such a supportive and welcoming space to share learnings, challenges and insights – and of course a good laugh.
