Our OT team recently had some special guests from Country Care Group at our CT HQ, who did a presentation on seating and positioning! Mark, Tim & Alison, from Specialised Wheelchair Company, and Lucinda, from 24-Hour Positioning presented their Pressure Mapping Assessment tool and how it can help our OTs assess their client's pressure care. This is an awesome tool that: 📄 provides information on potential areas at risk of pressure injury; 🕵🏼♂️ can help gather evidence; 👩🏼🦼 can help prescribe equipment (wheelchairs, mattresses, pressure cushions, positioning aids); and 📚 can help educate clients on pressure care.
