In recognition of National Reconciliation Week this year, CCS celebrated at our Hurstville office yesterday with a creative competition in the style of First Nations traditional art as well as some trivia around First Nations histories, cultures and achievements to help connect our staff to the wider reconciliation movement and convey the importance of the need for all individuals to connect, respect, act, and create change. Additionally, we are proud to announce that CCS is sponsoring Coast Shelter’s reconciliation march, where participants will share in the culture of First Nations peoples with a powerful acknowledgement, song, dance and Yidaki (didgeridoo). Coast Shelter is a not-for-profit organisation providing specialist homelessness services and support programs on the NSW Central Coast, and all sponsorship proceeds they are raising will go to local First Nations organisations, Mingaletta and Gudjagang Ngara li-dhi (GNL).
