Today Confluence Water celebrates our 6th ILEAD workshop, a significant achievement delivering to over 100+ people in our workforce. April this year, Confluence Water created ILEAD. A leadership development initiative to empower every leader in the business in ‘Safety and Health, Above all else’. At the heart of the program is a bespoke workshop incorporating aspects of Ventia’s leading safety program Elevate, Downer’s Achieving Zero Harm training, and Confluence specific content. Combined, this one-day workshop provides a cutting-edge safety leadership program that offers participants actionable strategies to improve their leadership across their daily operations. The result? ILEAD has become a part of the way we do things and to share safety knowledge and experiences that encourage meaningful collaboration with our delivery partners. Led by our Program Leads the program has thrived on the importance of interactions, partnerships, and shared responsibilities to support a safe working environment. Candice Mesecke, our HSEQ, People and Community director reflects “True excellence emerges from consistent, caring, and connected actions across all levels of our business. ILEAD is a place for this to happen. I could not be more proud of our business to have put more than 100 of our people through the program, including welcoming our construction partners. I am looking forward to the next 100!” #Elevate #ZeroHarm Ventia Downer Jacobs Kudos to the facilitation team: Tom Burns Lincoln Turner Tara Antoniolli David Dennehy Bernie Thorn Nicolas Molina David Neville Adrian Turner and Candice Mesecke

It's been a busy day across Confluence Water | Sydney Water's North Regional Delivery Partner. We've held our RUOK Day session where we spoke about the importance of connection and acknowledged that we show up for work each day with both a state of physical and mental health and the importance of connection to supporting mental health. We spoke about the power of a conversation that can truly be lifesaving. Opened up by Sarah Ashton GAICD and including key messages from our executive team, it felt like a very important conversation. Also, our fourth cohort of leaders participated in ILEAD, our safety leadership program which asks our leaders to prioritise Safety and Health, Above All Else. Delivered by our delivery leaders, David Dennehy, Adrian Turner, Nicolas Molina and David Neville. #healthandsafetyaboveallelse #safety #ILEAD #mentalhealth #RUOKDAY24 Ventia Downer Jacobs Candice Mesecke Tom Burns Lincoln Turner Tara Antoniolli

Bringing our leaders together to share how they lead SAFETY AND HEALTH, ABOVE ALL ELSE is just one of the things we are doing to keep our people and operations safe. Honoured to spend the day with this lot sharing our ideas about how we can have the greatest impact as leaders, reinforcing our safe systems of work, and examining our relentless focus on critical risk. Through the Downer Donate Local Heroes Program, the Confluence Water | Sydney Water's North Regional Delivery Partner Environment Team successfully nominated Sydney Wildlife to receive a $5,000 donation. As a charitable organisation fully run by volunteers, Sydney Wildlife Rescue relies entirely on community donations to fund its operations, which include providing medical care, food, and shelter for the animals in need. Additionally, they play a vital role in community education, raising awareness about local wildlife, their habitats, and how to live harmoniously with them. Confluence Water has worked with Sydney Wildlife Rescue to safely relocate native wildlife from our construction sites. Sydney Wildlife Rescue have also provided interactive ‘lunch and learn’ sessions, bringing in native wildlife to help our teams foster a greater appreciation and understanding of the local wildlife, including what to do when they encounter fauna such as snakes on our sties. Confluence Water has previously donated to Sydney Wildlife Rescue through the Return and Earn initiative as well as providing expired first aid items for use in their animal hospital. It’s great to be able to give them an extra boost as a thank you for all the incredible volunteer work they do for the community and Confluence Water in particular. Supporting Sydney Wildlife Rescue not only aids in the direct care of wildlife but also contributes to the broader goal of wildlife preservation and education.

A big Congratulations to Seamus Casey, the first Mechanical Fitter apprentice to have graduated our Confluence Water Apprentice Program! I'm pleased to share Seamus will now move into a Mechanical Fitter Tradesperson's role and continue his career with Confluence Water. It's been such a pleasure having you a part of our program and team. You've applied yourself and stood out to all that have had the chance to work with you. Phillip Aquilina, you've been integral in Seamus's development throughout this last year. Fantastic to see such support and collaboration on site as we develop our next generation of tradespeople. Big shoutout to David Dennehy and Martin Hill, this program wouldn't exist without your support. Each year our team grows and I'm so very proud of the continued commitment, resilience and dedication from all involved. This is a win worth sharing. 🚧 Enhancing Safety at Confluence Water 🚧 At Confluence Water, a joint venture with Downer, Jacobs, and Ventia, we are committed to putting safety and health above all else. We’ve taken a significant step forward by gathering our people to launch our newly refreshed critical risks. David Marsh opened the session and shared the importance of managing critical risk, why it is important to him, and reinforced his commitment to supporting all workers to implement critical controls. It was an inspiring moment of unity and a powerful reminder of why working safely is paramount. This initiative underscores our unwavering commitment to protecting every team member and ensuring we return home safely every day. By collaborating with key people from across the business, who work where the risks are, we identified critical risk activities and controls that truly reflect our current work and safety performance. Our aim is to keep our employees informed and well-trained so they can work confidently, return to their families safely, and feel motivated and satisfied with the important contribution they make each day. Together, we are prioritising a safer future. #downer #ventia #zeroharm #safetyandhealthaboveallelse #confluencewater #jacobs
