The Shire of Dardanup's new Library and Administration Building is now open and in full use by the community and shire staff. The projects #masstimber structure aligns perfectly with the Shire of Dardanup's timber first policy. This policy and the shires vision for their community should be celebrated. Leading by example and prioritising use of sustainable construction systems in their own projects, they are walking the talk and getting on with the job. CPD supplied and installed the mass timber structure onsite, but our involvement started much earlier in the design process. Under ECI with Perkins Builders, the CPD team re-designed the entire structural solution balancing structural engineering design with off-site manufacturing capabilities and limitations, and onsite installation efficiencies to develop a cost-effective solution for the project. A wholistic collaboration of consultants, fabrication and installation from early in the design process is crital for the successful delivery of mass timber structures. This project serves as the perfect case study having been delivered on budget, on program and to an incredibly high standard of finish. Our team have been doing an amazing job beautifying Ellenbrook, Ballajura, Whiteman Park and Noranda Stations with facade cladding and soffit linings. We can’t wait to show off the final product!

CPD has enjoyed a relationship with BLUECHIP spanning over 8 years which sees us supplying installing literally thousands of m2 of their products every year. CPD has completed the design, supply, fabrication and installation of all cladding elements on the Ellenbrook, Whiteman Park, Malaga and Noranda Stations for our valued client Laing O'Rourke. #throwback to this incredible multi-award winning build - the beautiful Boola Katitjin at Murdoch University. On the day of this photo our team had placed the last CLT panel on the largest mass timber building in the southern hemisphere. The project also happened to be CPDs first mass timber building after a decade of working to get one on our books. Now having completed multiple mass timber projects we are perfectly positioned to continue delivering efficiently designed, sustainably constructed commercial MET projects. Exciting times ahead.
