It’s official – Virgin Australia was Australia’s most punctual and reliable major airline in December, according to data released today by the Federal Government’s Bureau of Infrastructure and Transport Research Economics (BITRE). We completed 99.4% of our approximately 400 daily scheduled flights, achieving a departure on-time performance (OTP) rate of 74.7%. This was accomplished during the busiest December in our 24-year history, with more than 1.925 million guests flown across the Virgin Australia network throughout the month. We are incredibly proud of the Virgin Australia team for ensuring our guests arrive at their destinations safely and promptly, and that they have a wonderful experience along the way.
