Magewell’s encoders and switchers take the Commonwealth Head Of Government Meeting to the world! MiseOpoint selected Magewell equipment for the host broadcast service. The broadcast relied on Magewell’s Director Mini portable production and switching system, Magewell Ultra Encode AIO encoders, Magewell Pro Convert NDI-to-HDMI decoders and the Magewell Modator modular encoder/decoder chassis. Once again, MiseOpoint selected Magewell equipment for the Host Broadcast service of the 2024 #CHOGM (Commonwealth Head Of Government Meeting) held in #Samoa with the presence of His Majesty King Charles the Third. In addition to the #DirectorMini switchers used to produce the forums with Telycam #VISION4KN #NDI #PTZ cameras, #UltraEncodeAIO encoders were used to transmit additional feeds from the venues back to the #IBC, while the #Modator chassis fitted with #ProConvertToNDIAIO modules was used to simultaneously distribute the feeds in HDMI on the TV screens of the Media Centre and in SDI for the broadcasters willing to record the events. After #CHOGM, the #UltraEncodeAIO encoders have been integrated at #TV9, the National TV Broadcaster of #Samoa to stream to the different Social Media Networks but also to replace the existing encoders for the contribution to the National Digital Television #Headend. The Primary and Backup IP Links are each one fed with a dedicated #UltraEncodeAIO delivering a H265 #NDI #HX3 stream. Each encoder as been declared in the other one as fail-over source in case the SDI input would be interrupted. On the #Headend side, each IP link is feeding a dedicated NETGEAR Business Products switch distributing the Main and Backup Encoders to 4 different #ProConvertToNDIAIO decoder modules. A complete #Redundant Chain 2 encoders 2 IP links 2 switches 4 decoders per link: 2 for the Main Encoder and 2 for the Backup Encoder #EventProduction #SystemIntegrator #NDI

We have been diving into the latest major update for the Magewell Director Mini recently and it is impressive.
